Coffee from a local roaster. I believe it's from Peru, but I could be wrong. My wife doesn't let me make the coffee anymore.

Cold and raining. Snow falling a couple of hundred feet higher elevation.
Coffee! A mix of Medaglia de Oro Instant and Mehmet Effendi Turkish.

While fixing the vittles. Oooo, that's a good one. Was recommending it to somebody just the other day. Like drinking cold silk.

Widow Jane 10 year and a Yuengling. Still watching Tigers-Mariners. Bottom 9th - let's see if Turnbull can do this.

Yes, he did! Good for him. Angels Envy here, too. You know, to celebrate a little. Then, off to dreamland.

Coffee.
I use Mehmet Effendi Turkish like it was meant as "American Instant Coffee". Instead of cezve with the rounds of heating on the stove, a cup with boiling water, stir, steep, add sugar. enjoy.

Tasting a Coffee Port/Desert Wine I just finished and bottled this afternoon. First time I've made this flavor. Very strong coffee flavor. Very sweet. This might age nicely.

Only bought a pint, in the interest of research. I like it a lot. Big mouth feel, full flavor. I'll be buying a 750ml bottle of this as a retirement gift to myself. Since today was the big day (sorta), I thought I'd celebrate with a bit of it. My son is also helping me out. Up later than normal, but no alarm clock to go off in the morning. So what does the kid do? Pours me a bit of Stagg Jr. I was going to be sleeping in tomorrow, anyway. Cheers!

Good kid.
Dad's a big gardener who grew up on a farm. When he retired, mom bought him a little John Deere tractor. Not a lawn tractor. It's a real tractor, with PTO, big wheels, etc. He was one surprised retiree.

Laphroaig Quarter Cask.
Lovely whisky. The distillers there sure know their stuff.

Had some Lagavulin last night. Today, my wife and son surprised me with retirement gifts. My wife got me a bottle of Jefferson's Ocean and my son got me a bottle of Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight WHEAT whiskey. Trying some of this now, for the first time. Pretty nice.

I used to keep a bottle of wheat whiskey around. I think it was Bernheim's? Something like that.
