Newcastle Brown Ale. Not the same since Lagunitas bought them and started brewing it stateside. No, but it still beats most of the beers available at restaurants.

Repeat of last night, another glass of Zen of Zin. I've got another Malbec and a Cabernet lined up to try out through the week.

Bastid' didn't even tell me he was in town! 😅😅😅 Hell Darin, I wanted the beer for myself! 😝 It was just a quick overniter, my son bought us tickets to the Blazing M Ranch, and we checked out the caboose bakery in Clarkdale, visited antique shops then back home.

The wife is thinking she might like living in Cottonwood eventually, or thereabouts. Better buy a piece of land before the Kalifornicators grab it all. The Texas wine country has gone California in a big way.

I've tried the spicy ginger ales, especially some Jamaican stuff, but I was raised on nice, polite Canada Dry. I mostly drink Schweppes.

Long, hot afternoon cleaning out more of the parent's (now son's) garage. Can't believe the stuff they saved. Exhausted. Had some Blanton's at the son's house. Now, Stagg, Jr. and a Hofbrau.

Had a great time at a wine bar in Grape Vine , TX. It's Grapevine, named for the Mustang grapes that grew all over there. Not really a Texas wine region per sea, but they're growing wine everywhere these days. If you ever get a chance to get to Fredericksburg there's over a hundred wineries there. The oldest is my friends Fredericksburg Winery, run by the Switzer family. They specialize in German style wines and are probably the closest to what you make. Tell them you know me and get the tour.
