Nothing since breakfast owing to driving in Santa Fe which will take away anyone's appetite. A Marie Calendar Turley Pie in the oven. I need comfort food and a large measure of Irish Whiskey to recover from this experience.

Big package from Son in Corpus Christi from Delia’s Tamales, Mexican tonight. I know some thing about tamales from Corpus Christi, TX. You see, me and Juanita Bickley were very close back in the early 1970s. Juanita, daughter of Old Doctor Bickley, was something of a legend there, at least before they run her out of town for being a trouble maker and the worst drunk. Man, that she was.... trouble! I had a taste for rowdy women back then. However, when it came to tamales, Juanita was the best. I never been to Corpus but would like to. She must be buried there. I would like to place flowers on her grave and her folks. I met her mom when she came to visit in Mill Valley around 1974. The old Doc I never knew but have heard much about him from folks there. So, my point being that the tamales sent to you are probably special and should be treated as such. I always thought that Corpus was the most boring place. I lived there for a couple of months back in 1970. Had to evacuate in August. All the interesting places blew away and never came back. It could be really special. Like San Tropez, but it would take a huge investment.

They were John, very spicy but some of the best I’ve eaten, the masa was not too thick, pork was pulled and chopped chunky, we steamed them in our Instant pot as per our Sons instructions. Arrived cold and fresh. Told Son it was a hot but spicy had to eat a popsicle afterward, he got a kick out of that

Next up, Schwan #481 (3) toaster pancakes, one cycle. Add usuals, nuke to plateful of mess. Add k-cup cocoa, all to smoking room, eat & continue with the papers. As mentioned in WAYS, busy day ahead

Same here. Nice… the night before last in Monticello Utah I had 4 choices.. roller grill at convenience mart, subway, mom and pop pizza place, or the best restaurant in town called the Granary… got food to go from there. A microwave meal would have been better. Last night in Gallup, at least they had passable food. Good to be home.

Cashew Nut Chicken at a local Thai restaurant. Heat level 2 out of 5. Glad I didn't say "3".

At the west end of Gallup there used to be a great restaurant, Navajo owned and operated. Green Chile Lamb Stew, a fine salad bar, other stuff. I cannot remember the name.

It was about 2006 last time I was in Gallup.

I felt like cooking today. Made a shrimp and artichoke soup I learned to make this summer at the New Orleans School of Cooking. Came out great - and I don't really care for any soup usually.
So I got to get a little more browning on my roux spoon.

King Arthur's Pizza Seasoning!
