That is just about impossible in New Mexico. I have a neighbor whose Aorta delaminated from the Top loop down to the Illiac Branch. That he survived is a medical impossibility. He is the subject of a Vatican Tribunal investigating a miracle. BTW, I testified at that tribunal. Anyway, he went through hell with his SS Disability Claim. They just do not give it out here. I do care how many limbs you have lost or how sick you are, it will not happen in New Mexico. Thanks for the thought. I appreciate it. It's a federal government thing and there are lawyers who take care of everything and it doesn't cost you anything. We were having a problem getting it for my son before we got the lawyer on it. Six months and it was done. If not disability, maybe they could send someone to help? If that doesn't work I guess try for another miracle. I realize it is a SS thing. Lawyers here pick and choose cases carefully. One has to be more disabled then I am. There is the notion that a one armed man can still work, as if there were jobs for him. There is dislocation between the policy makers in Washington, D.C., the clerks in Albuquerque and the real world. Home aid? I am supposed to be eligible but there are no workers. The home care contractor here went out of business a few years ago. They were paying slightly over Minimum Wage and could not attract workers at $8,50 to $9 per hour. The federal reimbursements are not enough for higher wage levels, I am told by one of the managers. Some asshole cut off all the workers from Mexico and Central America who would love to have those jobs. They were good at it. Nice folks.

Scrambled and browned a sausage patty, then scrambled 4 eggs in with it. Added shredded cheese when it was almost done. Washing it down with a tall glass of milk

A lot of Germans in Texas, when I lived near New Braunfels we ate meals we had not seen since living in Germany. And they could be tough customers at the Ice Houses. If you see Hans Martinez, tell him I said Hi.

Happy Sunday, everyone. The princess is enjoying breakfast in bed, and I'm standing in the kitchen with a pair of poached eggs over toast with half an avocado and 2 thick slices of applewood smoked bacon. On my 3rd cup of dark roast coffee with Chicory. Just like my wife, it's hot, black, and strong.

Found a new Breakfast Burrito and thought to pass it on as it is quite tasty.
5 ounce Burro, with uncured bacon, cage free eggs, cheddar cheese, potatoes, salsa, peppers and onions. All in a Whole Wheat Tortilla.
Distributed by "Good Food Made Simple, LLC" of Wellesley, Massachusetts. Available at Smith's/Kroeger.
Pricier than El Monterrey at $2.49 each. Certainly better ingredients and a little bigger. For me, it is an occasional treat.

Going to start Sunday dinner a-cooking soon. Roast beef with roasted taters and carrots. I might get ambitious and make Yorkshire pudding.

Feeling fit enough to fire up the Webber. First time this year, I believe. Yesterday, I cut up a rack of pork spare ribs and marinated them overnight in Criollo Mojo, with some additives. Now on indirect charcoal with lots of hickory chunks making smoke.
Whipping up a pan of Bread Stuffing on the stove with chives, celery, mushrooms, tomato, chicken stock and butter.
Steamed asparagus on the side.
This is the first complete dinner I have made in a long time!

We haven't cooked chili in ours , but beans will come out great in 45 minutes with no soaking...we've put potatoes on the bottom and stood corn on the cob on the taters...and all came out fine...you can even cook dry pasta in pasta sauce, but I like it better the old way. It's a very useful tool .
