I had half of a chile relleno burrito for dinner and the other half for breakfast. I asked for sliced jalapenos on the side, as usual, but this time they packed the burrito with them. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven.

Vegetable broth, lime Jello, and SuperPrep bowel prep kit. π³ My sympathies, Ron. I will be doing that again later this summer myself. The procedure is no big deal, but the prep is terrible.

This thing of mine morphed into a meat loaf. Hamburger, TVP, fine diced carrots, fines diced scallions, egg, fine diced Calabrese Salami, chopped spinach. Into the Le Cruset pate pan and into the oven. TVP? Meat substitute? Sorry. I should have provided more information. Texturized Vegetable Protein. A soy product. Add broth or water and it forms a substance which appears to be ground meat. Can be mixed with hamburger to increase volume and reduce fat per unit of measurement while increasing protein. Can be cooked like a ground meat patty on its own and is usually mixed with chopped plants like onion, mushrooms, peppers. It is a good product if one is ok with soy. I like soy. It has been around for many years and is greatly improved from the "sawdust" like character is had in the beginning.

Tuna sandwich for lunch today, so exciting I am partial to Subway Foot Long Tuna Samitch with bell pepper, spinach, red onion. Recently, it seems that they have been using a compound which not only does not contain tuna, it does contain fish products. They are party to a law suit in California over such misrepresentation. This phases me not at all. Their Tuna Sandwich tastes great and I enjoy them Hope you enjoyed yours!!!!

Breakfast was own fresh baked bread- Bob's Red Mill Artisan Bread Flour, Whole Wheat Flour and Garbanzo Bean Flour. Seasoned with Zaatar Seasoning blend and French Canadian Boise seasoning. Olive oil. Four hours fermentation.
Bread came out just great. Unusual taste.
Lunch was some of the meatloaf from last night smothered in my own green chile gravy. That also was mighty tasty.

A small filet of Swordfish and a small filet of Red Snapper. In an iron pan with clarified butter and olive oil. Lots of fresh lime juice drizzle.
Side of brown rice and red lentils.

Wife and I went to a little place that serves Cajun/Creole style of food. Can't speak to its authenticity, but it was tasty. Seemed they dial back the spiciness compared to other example I've had. I'm a Yankee, and have never even visited Louisiana, so I don't have a good yardstick for comparison. Had a sampler - crawfish and shrimp etoufee, chicken/andouille/shrimp gumbo and jambalaya. Tasty, will eat there again. They didn't have Beignets, sigh.

The same people who brought you the movie "The Informant!" starring Matt Damon.
