Beautiful sunny day here as temperature expected to top out at 75F today. It’s definitely shorts weather! Happy Friday everyone.

Bedanged if I’ll subsidize ‘em. Lots of people feel that way. I do not. Never had a problem with them. I have had many calves, kids and lambs born here. Good for you ... we keep taking their habitats and they keep right on adjusting. The ones around here keep down the rabbit and rodent populations.

Cold day. high 30s with wind.
Really need to get the irrigation ditches cleaned. Cannot find workers. Will pay up to $12 per hour. No takers. Everyone doing something else? We desperately need people from south of the border who want to work. I way to feeble now to do it myself.

I've been on many farms and ranches where Latinos were employed. They work. Even when the boss is not looking.

Just picked the pup up from being groomed (hair cut)...she looks like a young pup and she had some words for me when I got her. She wasn't pleased, but she looks a lot better. Yorkie giving me a cold shoulder, sort of.

Sometimes you take what you can get. I just passed my NM Property & Casualty exam. The start of my new career. Very much bitter sweet, but you do what you have to do.

Insurance is a good business to be in. Most people need it. It can be an easy sell if one is clear, accurate, honest, and follow up. The insurance people in Taos are the worst lazy bums I have ever seen. Homeowner policies laps for months and no one notices or cares. Commercial property insurance? Forget about it. I tried for years and was not able to find policies for commercial buildings here. In general, this area is redlined. Illegal, of course but the way it is.

Lots of napping and general lazing today. Vaccine had the usual side effects, and rest was essential. I'm sure I missed a few things at work. Will catch up next week.

After 16 years of doing insurance claims I wanted to stay in insurance as I know it well. Also it's nice to be able to help people. Right now I've got a 60% chance of moving into sales and a 40% of staying in claims. I am leaning towards sales as when I did claims at least 40-50% of my customers did not have the right coverages. So i think my background would give me step up in helping customers get the right insurance.

The lady next door passed away after a drinking binge we have watched her go downhill for several months. So we had the six sheriff cars, a fire truck, ambulance, two detectives and coroner spend the afternoon hanging around here. I have not talked to her since before Christmas after a few drunken comments to me and the wife we decided to stay very far away. The first thing to dissolve in alcohol is personal dignity.

Just got home from Orlando after a very emotional and long few days with the family saying goodbye to my youngest cousin Rob. RIP Buddy. I'm sure it was a tough couple of days. Hang in there, bud. ... I'm supposed to be off this week, but two people have died which means I haven't got the break I needed. I hope I've enough in me to get to the next break. I appreciate the support and prayers you’ve given me buddy

Got home from vacation late last night. Found the Bradford Pear tree in my backyard had bloomed. There are many in my neighborhood and they are all blooming more profusely than any year before.
