The storage reservoir dam attendant failed to release L.C.'s water last evening. Thus, no water for him to irrigate with until Monday. He is hopping mad as his oats are burning up. I hate depending upon people who do not take their job seriously. This happens over and over. Owing to politics, the guy is able to keep his job. Others suffer for it. Oh, the humanity!!!

Getting hotter here. 80⁰F by 0800. 93⁰F now according to the weather service. Upper 97-101⁰F according to my security cameras. Not sure I trust them. Maybe being up under the eaves, they are hotter? Took it easy on the bike ride today - 13 miles, average speed 13.2 mph. Lost 2 lbs in just water. My printer quite working yesterday. No black. Bought a new black ink cartridge, still no black. Tried everything I could, but nothing helped. According to what I found on the internet, it's probably the print head. And the print head can be easily removed and cleaned under the faucet - or soaked in alcohol. Who knew? I'd have cleaned it now and then if I'd known it was so simple. Water didn't work, so soaked in alcohol overnight. Drying now so we'll see. What brand of printer? Ours is clogged too. It's 89 here at the moment and humid. Feels like 103. It's an HP 7520 - all in one - photo printer, copier, scanner, fax. It has 2 black ink cartridges. One for regular printing. One for high quality photo printing in color or B&W. The black for regular printing is the one that has stopped working. Soaking/cleaning the print head didn't work. Ordered another print head - only ~$25. Looked at new printers. Not liking anything that I found. I did find out that many new printers are putting all 3 colors in the same cartridge. That way when one color runs out, you have to change the whole thing - throwing away what's left of the other 2 colors - as if printer ink wasn't already a big enough scam. And the scanners on many are only going up to 600 dpi. My present one goes up to 1200 dpi which is enough, but I remember a few years ago I had scanners that went to 2400 or 4800 dpi, and had carriers for B&W and color negatives. Not very common any more.

Not very common any more. I have an Epson scanner that does 4800 and slides as well, but I rarely use it. It takes forever to scan over a USB connection. I guess I got spoiled by SCSI connections. Our all-in-one printer doesn't have a removable print head. It clogs up from not using the colors very often.

If I buy a new printer, I was leaning toward the Epson XP-7100.

Just received a call from my kid sister. My mom’s blood test came back and her doctor wants her to go Emergency as she’s borderline for a heart attack. My sister is taking her now so she can get more blood tests and another EKG/ECG. Looks like I’ll be sitting close to my phone waiting impatiently for the results.

Prayers for your mom, Ted...hope all turns out well.
Hot and trying to rain here...we need the rain badly...grass crunches when walked on.

I'm in a very similar situation with my mom, only it's a stroke rather than a heart attack.

We has a couple of HPs before and they all had other issues. The only Canon printer I ever had was one that came with some major equipment purchase at work. It was useless for anyone else so I installed it under my desk and it worked perfectly for a couple of years. At the time it sold for around $28. 🤷♂️

As for printers, I do not need to print colors, on the advice of my buddy that is an IT guy I got the Xerox B205 and couldn't be happier. It meets all of my needs and is chump change to operate compared to my HP that charges robber baron prices for the "official HP" ink cartridges. I had fairly decent luck with aftermarket cartridges, but I tired of the alerts that my cartridges were low.

Yearly inventory of a massive facility today and tomorrow. Delivering to warehouses over the years I pitied the fools that had to do that. Feeling foolish. I worked for an inventory service for 8 years. The Gulf States Toyota Warehouse was a great experience, as was the hundred year old hardware stores. I don't feel sorry for you at all. 😜🤠👍 I would rather be thrown in dat briar patch. Inventory sucks, Ron...You need to see a doctor, you ain't right bro.

More blood work and X-rays done at the hospital yesterday to confirm. Last message from my sister, before my bedtime, was waiting for the specialist. If nothing else, I’m sure glad I chauffeured mom around to her various lab appointments on Friday, as the medical lab discovered it yesterday morning, prompting swift action.

I have a Brother laser printer that covers that for me, but I have a ton of photos and slides that I wanted to print. When the Epson was new it printed beautiful color photos. now everything has stripes through it.

Back up on the roof today in this blistering heat...got a leak yesterday from the rains. Gotta fix it before storms today.

What a stinker of a day! It’s been raining hard since last night and nothing but more rain on the horizon until Wednesday. Being an outside smoker this really sucks! Oh well, it just means I can spend more time on the Patch.
