Roller coaster of a day emotionally but I feel better now. I felt super amped about how far I have come in life. Then I got into a very minor traffic accident and it damn near killed my mood for the rest of the day. I’m fine both cars are fine just a minor dent and I have insurance to take care of it just my brain kept messing with me and kept blowing everything out of proportion and making it feel a lot more catastrophic then it really was. Fortunately I have a good support system in place for when I’m feeling stressed and out of it like I was and was able to turn it back around from a shite show of a day into a well other then that minor inconvenience I had a pretty good day. Now I’m debating if I pop this 2006 tin of haddos delight tonight or save it for tommrow evening. Either way it’s getting opened for A special treat for myself. Open it tonight. You earned it.

Yeah, we all suffer from the same affliction from time to time, part of the human condition. Back in the 80's I was in a wreck where the other guy lost his life, he was an 18 year old....that really messed me up, but fortunately, the officer on the scene had interviewed the witnesses, and they said that if I hadn't been the one in the wreck it would be them. That CHP officer was pretty cool about it all and helped me through it. It sounds like that Haddo's was a providential purchase, just what the doctor ordered....keep calm, and smoke on!

Just got a call from a grandson of a Navajo code talker that is a patient that I called upon. He thanked me for the service provided and the conversation turned into a theological discussion… we are on the same page.
I could not ask for a better Christmas Eve call.

Good news: woke up to a White Christmas this morning! Bad news: I’ve already shovelled my driveway, my in-laws and three other neighbour’s twice. Suspect it’ll be another two more times before this day is out. Merry Christmas!

Bright and sunny here in central north Floriduh...got the gate locked and enjoying being with family with no outside world issues to bother me. Enjoyed talking with AJ (some might remember him) and my brother decided to finally call.

A neighbor wishes me a merry Xmas. (Don’t know whether this work. First audio I’ve tried to post.)
Doesn’t look like it’s gonna play. Just some coyote warbling. Sorry.

I’m in the process of receiving oncological radiation. Every day for thirty-eight treatments, M-F. In the work-up to this I vowed I would not do the radiation, due to the travel. The cancer clinic is 80-miles away, and 160 miles a day end-on-end for that long just didn’t fit in very well. But in a conference with the radiation guy I changed my mind. The other alternatives were not cures, but holding actions. The only cure is radiation. I liked this guy: unlike the first doc I met at the center he was a straight shooter, answered tough questions with no BS, and looked me in the eye. Another factor in making the decision was that I discovered my local rural transit agency, which will take me there, wait for me, and bring me home for way less than the fuel costs alone for me to self-drive. Ah, chauffeured! Great stress and fatigue relief. So I took the radiation avenue. The staff at the center is great. The gals are always cheerful and helpful, and they take me without a lot of waiting time. Usually I am in and out in about fifteen minutes, total. This pleases my driver, and me. And now I am looking forward to a three-day weekend due to the Christmas holiday. I am treating this whole process as a new adventure and not an occasion for doom and gloom. But… guys… get your regular PSA test. You need to get on top of this right way if there is a problem. The can’t-happen-to-me approach doesn’t work. BTW, there is an overall 50/50 success rate for this treatment. The doc initially said he would guess 60/40 for me, based on my history. Then, after more tests and consults, he revised it to 80/20. Sweet. I can go with those odds! The odds seem promising. Glad you have the transportation issue worked out. That is a big help to have someone drive all those miles over 38 days! That is a good transit agency!

It's only 61 degrees here in Mesa az, yet sitting in the sun in shorts and a tank top while I enjoy a smoke And I'm just about sweating...
That's why it's called the valley of the sun I suppose.

Fortunately, wood stove blazing.
Better with electricity!
