I may have celebrated too early. That 4noggins package got to Memphis early yesterday afternoon. Hasn't moved since.
Also, FedEx has apparently decided to long-term store the 2 loaves of bread I ordered in their local distribution center. They will be 2 loaves of science experiment when they finally arrive.

Currently waiting on Rossi Lucca 803 EX pipe and 1.5 lb of Peter Stokkebye PS 400 Luxury Navy Flake Pipe Tobacco. That's if the mail ever decides to deliver it. It's supposedly been sitting in UT since noon yesterday. Maybe I'll receive another smashed box. They've been doing that lately. Or better yet, wet and smashed.

Tracking says the Balandis pipe I ordered last month should turn up today, asking with my other bag of refractory mortar. Maybe I can finally get the forge done this week.

Today on the way home I asked my girlfriend what she would think if a nude lady was sitting in the chair outside our door when we got home? Sure enough, there she was. I keep a chair on the porch for smoking, and that's where the mailman delivers my boxes. I don't know what the rules are here for such things, so I'll just show her from the back:  |

On the way in from shopping today ,my wife picked up a shipping box from right on top of our mailbox. No kidding, right out in the open, sitting atop my mailbox ,with my house in sight ,just 4 blocks away, that's bull----. And the Post Office is gonna hear about it on Monday. Anybody could have walked off with it!!!
Inside was my new Rhodesian from RDpipes, a gift to myself cause I'm such a nice guy. It's so nice that my wife and her sister both want one just to look at.
It smokes like a dream and clenches like one too...a wise and worthy investment in my happiness.
A big thanks to Ron for the skill in his hands and the kindness throughout our dealings.

Left AAs in the sight for a couple of months without checking. Crudded up sumpin’ awful. Dumb and I should know better. Yes, the chamber is just forward of the sight itself. Comes off easily for reloading, altho batts last forever in an EOTech. (Well, ALMOST forever!) EOTech refused to service it b/c it is “old” so I bought a new chamber and dang if it didn’t fix it right off the bat— for less than postage to to the factory. For now it’s fixed, anyway. The forward contacts don’t look so good but they sell a replacement set, just not in stock right now. I’ll get some and replace them, too. Should be like a new sight. Diff between current models and mine? None at all. |

Got home and found a wedding invitation from my youngest daughter. We all knew, of course, as Im performing the ceremony. But somehow the official invitation sunk in. She’s the 6th of my 7 children, and the 3rd one married.
For a few days around April 9th, I’ll be in the Plano, TX area. If any of you Texas boys are in those parts, and want to meet up and have a smoke and coffee, I’d be happy to. Gonna have a couple days just hanging out sitting on my thumbs while the women run around and do their thing.
