My new Andrey Kharitonov cobra pipe arrived yesterday afternoon. I ordered it on 16 November, but it had been stuck in customs for a while. It is a really sweet pipe. My picture doesn't quite do it justice: I also just received 4 ounces of C&D's Engine 99 and Star of the East Gold. I love the regular Star of the East, so wanted to try some of the Gold. Both it and the Engine 99 smell wonderful in the bag.

As I've probably already mentioned here on the patch before, our baby girl graduated from App state earlier this year and moved to the Charlotte area for her first Big Girl job in the real world. I spent the day with her yesterday, helping her negotiate her first, new to her, car purchase. Most of ya'll know that the pickens are slim and the dealers can be somewhat difficult to deal with. Anyway, in between dealerships we stopped in a quaint pub in Cornelius for a quick lunch. Unbeknownst to Jenni, it just happened to be right beside McCranies..... So, not being one to let a good opportunity pass me by, we stopped in and perused the tinned baccy selection. The great thing was they had just received a big shipment from Germain & Sons, so they had pretty much all of the Esoterica blends available except Stoney and PZ. I picked up a tin of Margate for around $14, the other tins were $12.... Cheers and happy New Year to all of my Patch Pals.

Nice score Bonanzadriver. The Esoterica blends are on my radar, but their infrequent availability keeps me from really seeking them out.
The car market is definitely interesting right now. We ordered a new Subaru back in September, and just picked it up two weeks ago. We weren't in a hurry to replace a car, so the wait wasn't bad, but I can imagine that anyone needing a new car today has some slim pickins.
Thanks Urbino,
Andrey has some wonderful shapes, and his pipes are really well executed. This is a pic from him. It shows the grain better as well as the silver dot inlays along the shank:

I should have bought it by the pound when I could have.

Didn't like the Hamburger BeerMeister, or didn't like the long shipping time from Esterval's? Why would you order tobacco available in the US in 2-3 days from Germany? (Unless that is, you were in Germany and picked it up there)

It wasn't in stock anywhere in the U.S. I could find. I was putting together a fairly large order of stuff not available here, most of it HU blends, so I added this. And yes, the shipping was interminable. Somewhere between 6 weeks and 2 months, iirc.

Holy cow! Yeah that's a roulette of a waiting time. I haven't had any HU's for many years due to the hassle.

I had a new company contact me on the channel wanting me to review their electric cigar humidor/coolidor . So they’re supposed to be sending that out to me in the next week. It’s supposed to hold up to 300 cigars and keep things at the proper temperature. I’ve been looking at them for quite a while but did not want to put the money out. I’m fairly confident this unit is going to be a “made in China“ unit. But I suppose they all are these days. But will just get it in and see .

They seem to have gotten better since the switch to Dhl my first order took a week to get to my house. And I’m waiting on another one that I ordered last week scheduled to be delivered Monday.
