I have an 1898 (my pipe smoking grandfather's birth year) pipe enroute from Dublin.
Hard telling how long that will take with the mail situation...

Thanks. The stem is intact, mostly, but it has cracks running through it. I was wondering if it could be heated to seal up the cracks, but it doesn't look like it.

I have no friggin clue. No joke I have received three text messages with tracking updates from my USPS account in the last 24 hours. I check them. Great news. Packages that were stuck in a holding pattern are now moving again. I check them a few hours later, USPS site says "no such tracking number". Then, one of the packages just shows up on my door this morning. No notification, not even a knock at the door. 1 down, 2 to go. LMAO
I know we don't need to bitch about the USPS any more, we have lambasted them enough in the 2020 thread... but this is actually hilarious at this point. I'm just going to keep popping my head out the door and see if anything shows up.

Just ordered a whole bunch of burley blends from LJ Peretti... I liked "Thanksgiving Day" so much I decided I needed to take a stroll through their lineup...

Lots of comments online about how good their burley is...

Placed an order for more SG tobacco and a MM pipe. As it’s getting colder and wetter here, thinking the corn cob is a good alternative as I’m concerned the weather may do a number on my quality pipes.

Heh. Unfortunately, their tracking issues long pre-date 2020. I have many times over the years received packages that according to their tracking had not even budged from the initial location. That's the good kind of surprise, of course, unless it's something you have to sign for and needed to make arrangements to be home. First-world problems, I guess.

I have a variety of stuff on the way, both tobaccos and pipes. I'm embarrassed to list it. Suffice it to say I'll be well stocked.

Is this the first one you will own? No... had one many, many years ago when I was a teenager. Won’t bore you with all the details as it’s already posted on another thread.

Hopefully some white vermouth and champagne if I can figure out these payment apps. The liquor store won't let me order over the phone anymore; I really don't understand why not but willing to give it a go during a slow day at work.

Well, not "in the mail" anymore, but it certainly lived there for a long time. My Peterson Irish Made Army Rhodesian (999) arrived today. What a pretty little pipe!

No tobacco, but a pair of Klipsch dual 8 inch floor standing speakers and a subwoofer. Big room needs big speakers.
