Wilke 71st Street in a Georg Jensen bent egg. Doesn't taste like the last batch of this tobacco. Ok, I’ll bite... what did it taste like? The first 2oz I ordered just to try was loaded with hazelnut! Nowhere in descriptions of 71st Street did it mention hazelnut. According to TobaccoReveiws.com it's supposed to be "Cocoa / Chocolate, Nougat, Whiskey". Loved the hazelnut flavor - so ordered more. Got it today, smoked it in the same pipe - no hazelnut. I'll give it a few more tries to see if it's just this one time. But I'm going to go through all Wilkes tobaccos and see if there is one with hazelnut flavor. Maybe I was sent the wrong one the first time. |

Ronv69 - You smoke this. Have you ever tasted hazelnut? No. But my taste buds aren't the best. On tobacco reviews 2 out of 3 reviews mentioned hazelnut, but Jiminks doesn't. |

Maybe motion during shipping caused different tobaccos to separate. I just edited my post above with the same info. Dumped it all out on the table and tossed/mixed and put in a jar. The aroma was good. Didn't really look like it needed mixed. Stuffed some into a meerschaum pipe. It tastes great now. Maybe my taste buds were off or that pipe needs cleaned or the tobacco I took off the top of the pouch needed mixed up after shipping. All is good. Love Wilkes Tobacco! There's so many more I need to try too. |
