Dunhill's Early Morning Pipe in a G. Vecchio full bent brandy, with a gray lucite stem and a light sandblast. It's also marked Santamauro Italy 03.

HH Burly Flake in the same pipe. It's a nice change having mild enough weather to sit on the balcony. Maybe I should put on one of my wife's thongs and get some sun while I'm at it. 🤪🥳

Dunhill Early Morning Pipe from some years back. I don't know how old it is, but sticker on the bottom of the tin says it was distributed by Lane Limited and the price (written in grease pencil) was $7.10. No bar code. The pipe is a Dunhill Shell Apple shape from 1976.

Couple of bowls of Butternut burley in an old meer. Bought in 1961 from a friend who had it for 50 years at the time I bought it...has an amber stem so it doesn't get used alot.

Dipping into the Highland Targe again. Enjoying this more than Early Morning Pipe. It might be that the EMP just got too old and lost its magic.

So. Oom Paul and a parfait of Drexel VI and MCB Virginia #1. 3 layers of each

Moving on to a MM Dane with MCB Dark Twist. Going to continue my Club Blend and Dark Twist comparison here in Chicago. So far CB is winning. not finding DT to be anything special. but we will see.

Wilke 71st Street in a Custom-Bilt that belonged to my grandfather. Found it in a cigar box with 3 other pipes this summer. This is the first time I smoked it. (Smoked real good.) According to pipephil.eu/logos/en/logo-c8.html:"It is generally admitted (but not proved) pipes stamped "Custom - Bilt" (with the hyphen) are from the Mincer era. The name might have changed from Custom-Bilt to Custombilt (without the hyphen) in 1946."And: "Tracy Mincer stopped making Custom-Bilt pipes in the early 1950s."Mine has then hyphen so it's presumably from the early/mid 40's. My grandfather passed away in 1976 so, if he bought it new, he put some miles on it. And it did have quite a thick cake built up on it. Funny thing is, I inherited 39 pipes from my father-in-law recently - and one of those is the exact same pipe. It's the top pipe in the photo:

Has anyone heard of or tried Mac B’s Latakia Rolls? This blend popped up in my in box and I’ve never heard of it. Is it similar to its Latakia Blend just revamped? I think it may have been discontinued and perhaps making a comeback? Any information would be appreciated thanks. I don't know, but I ordered 2 tins. 😁🤠

So. I keep moving this tin of MCB Vanilla Flake around in the drawer. Enough already. Time to jar it up. Well, since I’ve never had it before, no better time than now. In to a MM Diplomat it goes. Only a few minutes in to it and had to go in to the house. So far, no rush to get back to it. 🤔

Since I had just told my wife that I wasn't ordering any more tobacco, I will probably be commenting on how much it stinks up the barn.
