Rob Roy Legend full of Newminster #400. Glass of seltzer with a splash of cranberry pomegranate. I'm going to prep some Brown Twist, because I have been thinking about it all day. Great tobacco, but I need some lead time.

Dunhill Flake in my Benton today while golfing. This is my first time trying this blend and very pleased taste wise. It’s not as robust as SG’s FVF but definitely has enough natural sweetness to be an all day smoke. 👍🏌️♂️

Finally, the weekend is here! Time to relax and unwind. Took a nice nap after work while my wife was out. Enchiladas are baking in the oven. Time to think about a good Friday evening cocktail. Do we have any oranges for an Old-Fashioned? Smoking Robert McConnell's Scottish Cake in a black, sandblasted Savinelli Nonpareil 1/4 bent Billiard with a deep, narrow chamber. I loaded the pipe by gravity feeding the tobacco with the lightest touch of the tamper. Burning nicely. Have a great weekend, everyone.

After a visit to our favorite Mexican restaurant, I came home and loaded up my new MM Little Devil cob with some SG Hansom Flake. When I popped the seal, it smelled like a chocolate brownie. The description on Tobacco Reviews said it is topped with a bit of Lakeland essence. I've seen Lakeland defined as a flowery topping, but it smelled like chocolate to me, and didn't come out in the flavor at all. Fairly mild flavor wise, but I'm comparing it to my last two smokes of White Horse and Happy Bogie, which are hard acts to follow when it comes to flavor. No bite at all. Enjoyable, but probably not a tobacco I would stock up on.
This was my first smoke in a cob, and it performed very well.

Dinner was good, feeling comfortably full. Found oranges and lemons, so I made myself an Old-Fashioned with Crown Royal as the main ingredient. Finishing the bowl of Scottish Cake that I started before dinner. Red Wings-Lighting on the tube, surprisingly tied at 1 halfway through the 2nd period. Gonna dig into the flake collection for my next smoke. I think a cigar will have to be smoked this weekend, too.

Now smoking Peterson University Flake in a Rossi Vittoria rusticated 1/4 bent Billiard. Finishing the Old Fashioned and watching the hockey game. As I get older, hockey is about the only thing I like about winter, once the Christmas season is over.
