May 9th. the outing to the pipe club was fun. only one person showed out of 400+ members but he was a nice old man with a savi punto de oro bent and a small briarworks bent. I opened my tin of glp sparkplug and find the blend to be flavorful. going to try and get in a bowl between rains.

Does the St.Louis Pipe Club that says to have 400 + members have meetings with hundreds attending at times? I know that the St Louis Pipe Show that they have hosted in the past brings in a lot.

Russ’ Cavendish in the Woods in a “stretch” 1930’s Kaywoodie Drinkless Suntan 7013. The stem was hacked when I got it. Had the button cut off and a round file used to cut some grooves emulating a button across the bit. I spliced a new rear section adding a few inches, hence the stretch...

Nice work!! Butternut burley in a stained CG cob...then on to candy corn in the same cob. Next up is some Killington, an old 4-Noggins blend when Rich had it, had it in a Royal Comoy Scoop (no pics of the Comoy).

Nothing yet. Seems I forgot to lay out tobaccos last night. Which leads to my current predicament. I currently have 18 open tins/jars/bags, and my drying plate only has spaces for 3...

Nothing yet. Seems I forgot to lay out tobaccos last night. Which leads to my current predicament. I currently have 18 open tins/jars/bags, and my drying plate on has spaces for 3... The microwave is your friend ... 10 to 15 seconds on a paper towel with a few minutes rest. I've done this hundreds of times with no degradation of flavors whatsoever.

Good point, I always forget I can do that. I get lost in the ritual of the prep. Soon to be Rustica Flake a Pony Express!

In addition to Mother’s Day it’s my father-in-law’s birthday today. Took pops out to the office for some fun and giggles. Hobbits Weed to start and Afternoon Delight to finish off. Lots of beer along the way to keep him happy. 🍻🏌️♂️

Peretti Pride of Loch Lomond in a MM Diplomat My son sang this song at the college he attended before joining the Marine Corps, his experience was at Loch Lomond near Santa Cruz where we fished together, and as he headed to Afghanistan, he made a side trip to Loch Lomond across the pond. As he went on several missions after, we listened to his song and prayed for safety.
