Heh. Was dinner for me, work graveyard shift. When I worked all night, it was nice to swing by the convenience store and grab a few cold ones to relax with after a long shift and I bought the beer in uniform because we didn’t have changing rooms at work. A rainbow haired punk cashier that looked like his mom had mated with a parrot looked at my uniform after a few minutes and something to the effect “don’t you think that you shouldn’t drink while getting ready to drive for the day?” I smart assedly replied, “I haul explosives, it calms my nerves” The next day, at work we all got a warning about drinking and driving. I immediately spoke up and recounted what had happened, asked the supervisor when we were getting new locker rooms that were cleaned daily, as I wasn’t changing in a toilet stall.... dead silence followed by laughter from my coworkers took place. I called the corporate office of the convenience store chain explaining what took place, and that “Todd” at store number ____ went outside the boundaries of his job in assuming that I was drinking and he got the reply he deserved. I never saw Todd again, figured they transferred him. That's a cool story. Living in Nevada, people don't usually give you a second look due to all the casino's. If a casino is open, you can drink, doesn't matter what time of day it is. hehe.

I've only smoked 2 pipes in the last month and I couldn't really enjoy either of them. Maybe when I get my health issues worked out it will be better. I am also glad to see you, been missing your posts.

May 16th. As usual the group ride was beautiful lush spring green. Despite a foul weather forecast no rain appeared and we had perfect light as the eastern sun rose. Oddly, only three of us rode while the rest went to the meeting place (Mimi's cafe in chesterfield mo.) two hours later in what all agree was a big snafu.. I am pretty sure a couple were jealous to miss but "Curves to the Bold!). As proscibed, the petite pete special series rusticated barrel army mount is the official ride pipe..(it breaks down and fit perfectly in my arm mounted pocket) with a measured amount of Sweet Tea (c&d for briarworks) for my black cavendish loving friend. It is way too sweet and bites a bit but the smile on the faces who smell it is worth the hours of lingering burn.... Anyhoo, with the rain holding off I managed a very nice full bowl of Union Square (glp) in the ebony 107 spigot. on deck and resting is the x105 spigot with hopefully a good pack of Sparkplug (glp). this blend can be a real problem child if poorly prepared. One should be forgiven to think those mid-sized flakes are going to load and burn.. no, get those fingers good and stained by ripping the plug down to a smaller size. If prepared well, and given a short rest, this is one of my new favorites. Edges out spc plum pudding special reserve for flavor and that blend is amazingly good for me. also, I forgot to mention the short bowl of Adagio (c&d) this early morning. I am coming to like the blend for the nice flavor/power balance. Kelly's coin(c&d) is slightly more powerful with a nice flavor that stays to the bottom of the bowl. Adagio has a similar profile adding a bit of flavor on top (blk cav) making it a very good morning smoke when there is time to enjoy a bowl. Conversely, kellys coin is a nice burly flavor but quite powerful and most suited to quick half filled bowls.. Whew! a lot I did today..lol hope you all had a great weekend!

I just smoked an 18 inch rattle snake on the garage back door step tucked part way under the metal threshold single six with bird shot. When you look down and see one you suddenly become very alert!
