C&D Byzantium in a Grabow freehand. This stuff is absolutely amazing and very smooth! Lots of thick, flavorful smoke. The Latakia is present, but not so much as to overwhelm the spiciness of the Perique (?)
Is this what people mean by a "classic English"? If so, I'm sold.

A beautiful afternoon on the patio. Smoking Peretti 111 in a Radice Classic Bulldog. Next is WC Ahab’s Comfort in the Savinelli Matches 860 Tribute Pipe. A cold beer and Flannery O’Conner on the side.

I’ve always been a fan of the Peterson Deluxe System pipes. I have several of them. I started looking for a Pete house pipe a while back. The Terra Cotta finish ones were nice, but I had a tough time finding one at a reasonable price. The Oak house pipes showed up on few sites, a few here and there, and got snapped up fairly quick. So I saw one that appealed to me and placed the order... twice. Seems I saw one on another site, and forgot I had already placed an order for one. 😜 So, now that the weather is nice, I decided to take one for an inaugural spin. I mixed up some Granger (75%) and 5100 (12.5%) and Black Irish X (12.5%). Settling in for an extended smoke.  |

I've only smoked 2 pipes in the last month and I couldn't really enjoy either of them. Maybe when I get my health issues worked out it will be better. Glad to hear from you. |

Burley and black cav{ tobacco with no name } in a Hillson egg, a GBD bulldog, a carved apple from Brebbia, and a MM Diplomat...great smokes in all. Nice slightly sweet ,nutty blend that burns down to a light gray ash with no fuss...I sure wish I knew for sure what's in it. Like Emily said, most likely tobacco now long gone!

Morning everyone. Kicked off the week with Rustica Flake in an MM apple diplomat. This blend, like so many others, definitely shines in this beat up old cob.
On that note, does anyone know of a place that had the straight apple diplomats in stock? I can find bents, but no straights.
