Morning brings the usual aches and pain...lets me know I am alive...or at least suggests it. Usual butternut burley in the usual CG cob...next up is some G&H Bob's Chocolate Flake prepped last night for the morning in a small straight grained volcano.

May 19th. Today is bright with breezes from the south giving a quick warmup to the area. So I had a crazy idea.. Semois and the C&D Virginia flake.. The semois is dry ribbon and the virginia flake is dry granola so I mixed up a bowl paying close attention to keep the mix even while loading. What a treat! The extreme bite of the virginia is tamed and the slightly acrid side of the semois is tamed leaving a smooth flavorful mix. butter, nuts, sweet cedar shavings in the sweet rich virginia. So nice! all the flavor without the bad characteristics. If you have any on hand do a 50/50 mix and enjoy!

EMP in my 2015 Dunhill Ring Grain group 4 Liverpool. Sometimes, a post is worthy of more than clicking the "thumbs-up" button. Love this pipe! Thanks! I bought this one from a seller in Germany a few months ago. If anyone wants to take the plunge, he also has a Ring Grain group 4 Lovat with a similar blast. Personally, I don’t like the look of a short saddle stem on a Lovat. It looks disproportional to me. So, I went with the Liverpool.
