Heading out for a Doctor visit, but first I'm smoking Engine 99 in a leather clad ,bent billiard from Longchamp. I'd forgotten how much I like this tobacco, there's a balance of flavor that comes across in a floral effect that must come from the Orientals.
A wonderful eye opener with my morning coffee!

Morning everyone. Starting my day with Erinmore with coffee on the side. Received a call from my dad’s long term care facility last night. He had a heart attack but is recovering at the local hospital. I’m back at rehab later this morning for my injured leg and won’t get a chance to see him until tomorrow. When it rains it pours.

May 26th.
overnight showers were gentle allowing the windows to be open providing the freshest air one could hope to breathe.
This morning is dry and cool with bright sun giving the best temps for a nice bowl of C&D Crooked Lane in a couple of pipes.
C&D has a way of making blends that do well at the start or at the end of a bowl. Granted, there are plenty that manage both tasks in their catalogue yet there are a few clunkers such as redburn or privateer that just do not appeal to me for an entire bowl.
Crooked lane is still being decided upon as the blend starts nicely, governed by orientals but the latter half seems to fade a bit.
I do find with C&D that if one considers the concept behind a blend a lot can be known.
Now just exactly where this crooked lane is leading to I do not know right now!
