Morning everyone. Friday is finally upon us once again. Another bowl of Voodoo Queen this morning, it really is as good as I remembered, in this trusty MM apple Diplomat.

August 6th. Events are progressing chaotically leaving little time to post but I have a few moments to myself this early friday morning. Not much has changed from the last post. As I near the end of several tins I do have one bit of fun information. Mixed some c&d Barrister with glp Cairo. about 1/3 cairo 2/3s Barrister. What a nice addition! Barrister has a bit of flavor but fades a bit mid bowl and Cairo is a bit finnicky how it is handled especially how moist it is. I mixed the two and found a lovely blend! I wonder if c&d realizes they have an excellent blend from the two? anyhoo, back to the whirlwind! have a great weekend!

Hello, Patch. I started this summery Friday with Haunted Bookshop in the Friday cob and coffee on the front porch. At son's house now, waiting on a plumber to take care of a small issue. Watch City Slices in the Friday cob. Still working on the coffee.

Thanks, Charlie...they replaced the Comoys I used to have and loved so dearly...Ron and Cramps can put out a pipe that you will fall in love with and smoke as well as those old Comoys.

I think there are levels of flavor in this blend that don't open up to you until you smoke a few bowls in a row; some blends are like that. My original jar of B .H.T. had some heavy age on it. This batch seemed a lot milder to me, but it's really sinking it claws into me now !

Watch City Slices on the way home from son's. Cut up the rest of the branches from the apple tree. Now, time for Haunted Bookshop in the Friday cob.

August 6th. So in a fit of sorting my tins into categories I saw I had 5 temple bar 2 oz. Being a long time ago I decided to open one to see if the flavor was as remembered. This is one of the blends that really shine for me. You know that moment when you light a well prepared bowl and that essence off the top of it? now have that for a whole bowl. Now I am a bit sad I doubted myself and opened the tin..lol I have a number of test tasters lined up ahead of my stash blends but oh well! using the vauen classic, without a filter it acts like a reverse calabash. except for how plain and heavy it is a good smoke seems to still come out!

we are on a roll Herbert! Might be a bandwagon I'd want to jump on. How pronounced is the latakia? I would say the latakia is very subtle, way in the background. But it is a nicely balanced blend, IMHO
