Morning! EMP in the Sav Tortuga with a cuppa. One good thing about these posts is that it helps me remember which pipes I use throughout the day, aiding my OCD about resting pipes. One bad thing about the first pipe of the day, especially when combined with caffeine, is that it gets certain things moving.... which sucks when the bowl ends 0958 and a meeting starts at 1000. I'm on edge here... 😂

Good morning! Just started a bowl of Dunhill Ye Olde Signe (Oct. 2016) in a Shell Briar 4101. As where the tobacco in the last 2 tins was unpleasantly harsh, this one sings like a canary so far! I'm having coffee on the side. Enjoy the weekend, all!

This morning I chose to smoke it as is , a half bowl of leftovers isn't the best way to start your day. Sometimes ,if you add the right tobacco to it , you find an interesting smoke; this morning I was just lazy.

Rubbed out RDF in the Rattray. Love the way it smokes. Smothered it halfway through - stuff is strong. The rest will be my just-before-bed smoke. Figured it's better than feeling nic-sick, then loading another bowl at midnight..

I haven't bought any Forever Stems, yet. They do offer a lot of choices, so you can really customize the look of the pipe. I just don't want to spend 17 bucks to dress up a $9 pipe. I actually like the feel of the cheap plastic stems, if they get too chewed up, I just swap it out for another.

I could get forever stems for all my cobs, or I could get an estate Dunhill.

You know, $17 once for a stem is probably cheaper than $3 or whatever over and over. But if you find the cheaper ones more comfy, hey, go with it, right?

But if you find the cheaper ones more comfy, hey, go with it, right? 80 cents a piece. I do have a couple cobs that I'd dress up with forever stems, though. I'd still rather get a Dunhill than 18 forever stems. And the collection keeps increasing as I fool around with cobs.
