Very nice collection and display, Herb. Love it, but you need more bourbon!

I love that long rack! Where did you find that? I have been looking for a step/ tiered rack like that with 4 levels. Hoping to run across one at an antique shop or such, buying one online is extremely pricey…. So I am stuck with my conglomeration of short racks.

I find a few at antique stores from time to time.

Holy Baloney, that's just a portion of your collection? Well done! Can't wait to see the rest!

Holy Baloney, that's just a portion of your collection? Well done! Can't wait to see the rest! I was thinking the same thing. That's a mighty fine collection, and well displayed. I'm seriously playing catch-up.

I love that long rack! Where did you find that? I built the long rack years ago. I also built the wall unit that houses everything you see there, it sits on a base unit that is really just a book shelf with some fancy trim and two doors; it was my first project , after a got a radial-arm saw ,over thirty years ago.

I think Dino still has the world record on cellar size.

True.
There are some guys out there that have some cellars that are beyond description. One in Canada comes to mind, as a lawyer he did quite a job skirting the customs. He bought a commercial cryo-vac sealer to seal all of his tins...some guys commitment to cellar building is off the radar.

According to Les and some others here, my modest collection is a "Good Start". ;-) True. I was in no way trying to diminish your cellar, but there are some crazy people out there. I know a guy who can't even get to all of his stash to inventory it. He smokes a hundred pounds a year and isn't worried about running out because he has more coming in than he smokes. I have about 40-50 pounds and I doubt I will live to smoke it all.

I don't expect to be around long enough to ware out my latest pair of slippers, but I'm going to enjoy them, and the pipes and tobacco that go with them as long as I can.

Perhaps a dead man's tobacco clearing house is in order. How does one go about funding such a thing? Maybe a weekly raffle???

A fine looking stable...I really like the figureheads on the back of the cabinet...pretty cool. The heads are Bossons, by a Father and son team in England. You can see three more peeking around the left side of the display. I collected the for a time; they're all over the place around here. There's still lots of them out there, but they're no longer in production...older ones have the best detail. A year or so ago, my wife snatched up a few at Goodwill , for a crazy cheap price. You never know where these guys will show up.
