We have just watched the first 4 episodes of a new series on Netflix called "The Chair". We started watching it because it stars Sandra Oh, who we really like. The premise is that she is the new head of the English department at a small university. The students and their cancel culture make it impossible for them them to teach anything. And it rings true. We have raised a generation with no sense of humor, no sympathy or understanding for anyone, and very little work ethic. If the students want to run the colleges instead learn what the professors have to teach, I say they do not deserve an education. Let them spend a year or two picking cotton.
I would rather cut off my arm than live under tyranny!
While I have not watched that show, I agree with the work ethic of that generation. I have tried hiring them here for simple pruning of bushes and trees. No can do. An hour is about it and then it is off for the day. Laziest generation ever.
If the SHTF scenario and they need to eat, while they cry and demand that joe sixpack has more than his fair share, and they think they are entitled to it, Joe Sixpack has guns and ammo.
"Governments may think and say as they like, but force cannot be eliminated, and it is the only real and unanswerable power. We are told that the pen is mightier than the sword, but I know which of these weapons I would choose."~Sir Adrian
