Finally sitting down to Exhausted Rooster after a rough morning! Shortly after my second sip of coffee my dad’s LTC facility called notifying us that had had another fall and was sent to the hospital for follow up. As most of you know, from my previous posts, he has Parkinson’s and dementia. Long story short: he’s recuperating, under observation and suspect the hospital will release him around dinner time. Not exactly the quiet Monday morning I was hoping for. Missed this, somehow. All I saw was "Exhaused Rooster." Sorry to hear about your dad. Don't know if I mentioned before, but I had an uncle with Parkinson's dementia. Like you, he was a Navy vet. Built like a brick. It was sad to see what Parkinson's and then the dementia did to him. Best thoughts for you and your dad.

Bengal Slices Single Barrel in a Comoys Pebble Grain Prince that fell off the back of a truck. Missed this, somehow, too, which is pretty remarkable because I have that exact same model of Comoy's. It's a great pipe. One of my faves.

Good news: as predicted, he’s been released and back at his LTC facility. All is well.👍👍

Pete, Sorry to hear about the malady afflicting your father, the aging process isn’t for the weak. He has my prayers that he can regain a sense of normalcy.
Thanks for being there for him.

Bengal Slices Single Barrel in a Comoys Pebble Grain Prince that fell off the back of a truck. I have a few prince shaped pipes, none of that beauty or pedigree, they hang nice in the jaw, not a bent or straight… IMO. But great smokers.

Wessex Brigade Campaign Dark Flake in an old Charatan Trafalgar. Never liked that extra "step down" stem (or whatever they call it). Drinking coffee and thinking about doing some early morning yard work.....

After the Ed is fed, Boswell Northwoods in Cavvichi C bent dublin freehand & continue with the papers. Long as don't have to chauffer wifie anywhere, on with the grungiest rags & to some yard work.

It was Jess Chonoswitsch's first company. It actually smokes better than this one. Some guy on eBay got a couple of hundred Comoys pipes and was selling them for cheap several years ago. A bunch of us on the old PSF jumped on it. I think I got 3 and this was one of them.
