Happy Brown Bogie in a Spool, the way tobacco was meant to be smoked. It looks like the intestines from a mummy.

Finishing up the second half of a bowl of Plumcake I didn't finish last night in the Viking Classic Dublin, and digging into the cellar to find somethings I've not smoked in a while. Will figure that out shortly.

October 30th. Weather has settled to the chilly pattern and tomorrow morning may test the seams of the riding suit. Have the Sunday Cob and a fresh dab of Q1 from my friendly shop that now takes almost two hours round trip to visit but he is a friend and has a good humidor selection which is worth the effort. So Cob and Q1 aside I blended up some of my blockade runner and aged lancers slices which has become quite fragrant with a good result. The Lancers Slices has become quite a condiment tobacco in its current state and gives a bottom floor for the BR. As it is Saturday I had time for the big petersons Ebony spigot 107. The large U shape does a great job. Later may be some Jacknife Plug in the X105 newgrange. Hope all are well!

It's a KBV morning. Two pipes loaded with KBV tobacco. A Castello Sea Rock billiard with Notorious, and an Asteriou Blasted Liverpool with Dark Fired Cherry. Peet's coffee at my side.

C&D Epiphany in a Dr. Grabow Viscount. Seeing your can of Bond street reminded me of this...Be careful, while you smoke your pipe and the wife is mowing the lawn, don't be surprised if the neighbor's wife comes over and hits on you.

Supposedly those Mr. Clean Magic Eraser thingies work well for cleaning stems. No idea how they would work on something that's been cruddy for a long time, though.

Our Carter Hall in the Country Gent. Have to be at the ballfield in an hour, should be a brisk baseball game to watch I've been meaning to ask you about this. You smoke a lot of "Our..." blends. Who's the "we"?

they are from Milan Tobacco, 'match' blends I guess. I smoke the Carter Hall and Prince Albert blends, find them to be very nice.

You prefer theirs to the standard CH? Didn't see it in stock when I wanted to try it, so ordered the Milan, so I can't say

Is that lacquered? How does it smoke? Nope. The external is pure plastic and the bowl liner is pyrolytic graphite (missile cone grade) and it smokes completely pure and neutral. Neat thing about these, and my Venturi's is I can just wash them out in the sink. The graphite liner comes completely brand new clean with hot water and a paper towel wipe of the bowl. I may showcase some of my Venturi's for a smoke this evening.
Smoking qualities of "the pipe" with graphite bowl liner; you've got to pack the bowl fairly loosely, tobacco burns easier and seemingly hotter from the insulated graphite wall. Graphite molecules run vertically and draw the heat from the pipe immediately upward through the material but can smoke hot and scorch the crap out of your mouth if you puff fast. Absolutely must smoke it slow. And again, the taste of every bowl is neutral and only the pure taste of the tobacco. I use these for testing new blends often. Cooler and more neutral than clay.
For now though, next up is going to be year 1970 Velvet in a 1970 Dr Grabow(MM) bent Legend cob.

Happy Brown Bogie in an H&B Irvin S Cobb from Washington M0. I have had this pipe for years, (antique store find) and never gotten around to smoking it, it smokes great, and after one smoke, the dry cob really soaked up the smoke and colored yellow. It looks like it will need a hardwood plug though, it originally sold for __cents, the degraded center doesn't show the original price, can barely make out the cents symbol.
