2013 McC Beacon in my Dr. Grabow Royalton Billiard. Nice Dr. G! Thanks! This was a random find about 3 years ago in a blister pack at a modern RYO tobacco store. With my phone's flashlight, I could see that it was drilled good and the slot had an acceptable funnel. I hate Dr. G's black nylon stems especially since i don’t use a filter. I like the Royalton line with the acrylic stems. Also, I found it intriguing that this pipe bought new just a few years ago only has the old HLT Royalton stamping and no Dr. G stamp. It makes me wonder if this was an old stummel in a box in the back corner of the factory as Dr. G bought HLT in something like the early 60s. Whatever it is, it is a good smoking modern production Dr. G with no fills.

October 31st. As All Hallow's Eve approaches I will leave the adventurous souls to their frivolity and stay home. Plenty of options for a bowl and a few libations. Maybe a good night for the big castello as it is a bit "Monsterous"...lol Our ride this morning was a visual feast, the trees had a bit of color and with fog banks and the beauty of the area combined under what some call "perfect light" was amazing. To behold all that natural perfection while gliding along twisty roads on the can am spyder rt (sea to sky edition in highland green) is something only modern civilization could produce. Quite breathtaking to be alive in this epoch and I try to acknowledge that fact daily. So with another pocketful of riding memories in hand I think it is time to think about my evening pipes. I opened my sutliff red virginia crumble kake and I found the ascetic acid topping to need plenty of drytime so it is in limbo until later. I have some SPC that is citrus/vinegar predominate due to excellent maturation and the two are not similar. I hear there is a decent VA in the kake so it is a wait and see so not using that for a party treat. Maybe a giant bowl of jacknife plug and some whiskey for later. I am down on mason jars with several tester blends waiting to be sampled (the cobblestone and savinelli tins are high on the list for decanting) Anyhoo, I hope all will find themselves enjoying a favorite pipe this evening and have a great All Hallow's Eve!
