Sutliff pumpkin spice. I like pumpkin spice so I figured I’d toss a oz in my last pc order to pad out the shipping. It’s not bad. Not something I’d stockpile but I’m enjoying it.

At various times today: Embarcadero in the Sara Eltang Canadian (not actually made in Canadia) Bengal Slices White in a Radice Rind billiard (not actually made of pork rinds) 2016 DTM Patriot Flake in a Savinelli Autograph Dublin sort of thing The aged Patriot Flake came from the estimable Emily in a swap, some time back. If you can get her to send you some, I recommend it. I think I've posted pics of the Radice and Sav here before. If not, you guys can let me know. I try not to repeat myself.

Haunted Bookshop in the Saturday cob and coffee. Working on the bathroom project. Is that a new euphemism? Yeah, its code for remodeling an actual bathroom. Not having much fun.

Marlin Flake in a recently restored no-name/no country of origin Prince with twin-bore stem. That stem was a pita to clean. Turned out well, though. Supposedly those Mr. Clean Magic Eraser thingies work well for cleaning stems. No idea how they would work on something that's been cruddy for a long time, though. I've tried those and they work to an extent. I've tried Oxyclean baths and it can pit srem surfaces. I still sand 400-600-1000-2000-4000-6000-12000 grit wet sandpaper, then a gritty toothpaste (not gel) as a polishing compound. Obsidian oil to make it shine. A Bic lighter to burn the oxidation works on lightly oxidized pipes or regular maintenance.

Yeah, its code for remodeling an actual bathroom. Not having much fun. BTDT. Other than the inconvenience, I enjoy that kind of thing. Or, I did when I was a young man.

Now it's too much like work. It will be a satisfying task. I'll be happy when it's done. As long as I do a good, thorough job.

Okay, I think I'm caught up on this thread. Went to visit Dad and then to brother-in-law's house for dinner and fun. Packed the Saturday cob and a roll-up pouch with Haunted Bookshop and Oak Alley. Back at home now, Oak Alley in the Saturday cob.

Carolina red flake with perique in a claw meer. How's that treating you? as to the The meer has become my favorite pipe and is coloring nicely. For the blend I wish I had bought more then 2 tins it’s great nice and bready with notes of spice from the perique. I’m beginning to appreciate red Virginia more.

Don't think I've tried Oak Alley. It's nice. It had been out of rotation for about a year, while I was smoking other stuff and building the cellar. Found an 8 oz. tin with a 2019 date on it. Figured it was a good time to reintroduce it to the rotation. Burley and Virginia play nice together providing the backbone, and orientals offering just the right amount of spice.

Happy Halloween, everyone. Started the day with Haunted Bookshop in the Sunday cob and coffee in the workshop. Cool and breezy, but sunny here. Should be a good day for the trick-or-treaters.
