Country Squire 'Bag End' in the Boswell, nice blend - a bit mild for the evening, but I'll try it in the morning one day

A zen evening. 5 year old Stonehaven in a Davorin Morta Rhodesian. Wee dram of Bruichladdich Classic Laddie at my side. Any more I only drink malts that are non chill filtered snd uncolored. Unfiltered at all even better. Love to see that residue at the bottom of the bottle. Cheers to all of you.

What was the verdict on the Bing/Crooner? The Crooner was nice, for a change of pace. I like it, but only on occasion. The Bing smoked as average as ever.

What was the verdict on the Bing/Crooner? The Crooner was nice, for a change of pace. I like it, but only on occasion. The Bing smoked as average as ever. I'd say that about sums up mine, too. The Sav Bing is more comfortable, but the Merchant Service is the better smoker.

November 4th.
This morning I put three coins of Escudo in the castello GGG searock lovat. Fills the bowl slightly over 3/4ths. Being the last of a decanted tin makes this a bit of a special morning. Been a while since I last filled the big pipe so looking forward to a real treat as the Escudo really perked up after some time in a jar. I made my first batch of winter mix yesterday. Half Blockade Runner with a third of lunchtime blues with the remainder covered in Lancers Slices. I somehow managed to hit a good ratio as the blend is flavorful with a good medium power level. Great outcome from three tobaccos!. The Lancers Slices has become a pungent condiment with age. Later today is a cigar shop meeting with a good friend for his first premium cigar. I just need to be sure he gets the proper selection. I am thinking an AF hemmingway. It has a nice undertone of smooth tobacco with plenty of natural sweetness.. of course I wonder if I should just get him a flavored cigar and hope for the best... Anyhoo, finally got the Escudo charred and tamped and it seems to want to burn correctly so time to settle in for a long bowl and coffee! hope All are well

Starting this morning with Sutliff VA Perique kake in a 1960's Gefapip 2500 rusticated Canadian, that was made in France. A French Canadian. Picture is terrible but it's not normal rustication but perfectly even little s-curve, half moon zig-zags throughout the pipe. Will need to take some better pictures. Pipe was dedicated to Orlik Golden Sliced for quite a few years.

Then if he doesn't like cigars it is a fair test. If you don't really like him, get him the flavored stick
