Someone gave me a tip which I am anxious to try out. As some of you know, I am no fan of Burley. What this fella suggested was taking any Burley or none too appealing Virginia and placing within it a slice of MacBaren's Vanilla Flake. Let it age for a while and then give it a try. I will try this and report back (someday in the future).

Halfway through a bowl of C&D Pegasus in this MM showcob. To me personally, Pegasus is absolutely the epitome of American aromatic burley pipe tobacco. It is the supreme, the eternal, the ultimate. No other aromatic need exist.

Tobacco from the spill tray, in a Hercules 619. The 619 sports a square shank, and as almost octagon shape bowl; my also boasts a shallow sandblast with a smooth rim, and for its size, it hangs from the jaw with little effort.

My own mix in a cob mew not the worst not the best. Then some Charing Cross in a Walt MM MT mowing front yard. Now some Dunhill standard Mixture in Italian strait Billiard. Needle carved or rusticated? Don't really know but it smokes good.
