C&D John Marr and Milan's Our Carter Hall mixed at 50/50 ratio in a 1970 Pioneer rusticated acorn meerschaum. I've made quite a few really tasty mixtures with the sample of Our Carter Hall. Far too mild and sauced for me on it's own, it's really great with about 60% C&D cubed burley or cigar leaf, or Five Brothers, various strong dark burleys.

Spent 2 hours this afternoon on the deck at a riverside restaurant enjoying a shrimp platter and a couple of beers for lunch. It was sunny and close to 80. Sort of weird sitting on the river in a T-shirt a week before Christmas. Smoked a bowl of John Aylesbury "Own Mixture" in a Mark Tinsky pipe after getting back home....  |

Since my bout with covid which took away taste and smell....i have about 70 % back. the best taste i can get form tobacco is boswell's cherry smash in one of my cobs. ibb.co/5YdD5K5 |
