Brighton in my Savinelli Autograph Mignon blasted bent Billiard. Bummer, my box from Pipestud won’t be here until tomorrow. 😕 It should have been here since it got to Grand Rapids last night. Normally, packages make the hops from there to Kalamazoo to my local PO overnight just fine.  |

Ha. It's a good smoker, for sure. Ron makes a good bulldog. Crisp, clean lines. Hard to tell in that pic, but the stem is a blue/black Cumberland style. |

Boxed up my regular rotation of pipes and tobacco, with the exception of Our Carter Hall , Maltese Falcon and ,Storm Front. The wall unit that was my toy box is now a Christmas display. It happens every year, and gives me a push to explore the darker corners of my cellar and pipe collection.
What I thought would be my last bowl of the night was from an old jar labeled Butternut and Black, the pipe was an Old Dominion stack billiard. Mostly Butternut Burley with a dash of B.C....now, Our Carter Hall in the same pipe.

A cool calm sunny morning in New England. Starting things off with some G&H Dark Birds Eye for the first smoke in my new RD partially Blasted Rhodesian with spalted pecan cap. Hot cup of coffee. This is a beautiful and great smoking pipe. I love how the stem mimics the three color contrast of spalted pecan, yellow stain, and dark blast of the bowl.   |
