Started the day with Haunted Bookshop in the Sunday cob and coffee, while getting ready to head out for trap shooting. More Haunted Bookshop on the drive there and back.

Silver I almost forgot--I like the rustication on that cob. I'd be too afraid to try that, though I did mod a Mark Twain by putting a chamfer or bevel at the top to make a quasi-Rhodie and the cob didn't disintegrate. I was uncertain at first, too. Once I started chiseling the rims, I found out that corn is pretty tough. The grooves and carving is done with a Dremel. Nothing to it.

CD 3F in a Legend, then to the kitchen to cobble together something for dinner.

Gawith Hoggarth Broken Scotch Cake in an RDP strawberry briar sandblasted bulldog with redwood burl stem inlay and midnight blue ebonite stem.
They have a Scotch holiday cake at the local grocery that looks good. Like a rum cake with scotch.

Apparently it's lawnwork and nap day. Nobody tells me these things. Earlier, had some Capstan Original Navy flake in this here Pete Deluxe Irish Made Army 87 (it was a very military themed smoke):

Old style rain gear had a set years ago so stiff when they are waxed and cold they literally stand up in the corner. Someday will get another set they were about $160 top and bottom thirty years ago.

Wilke #191 in a Savinelli Punto Oro army mount Rhodesian. Wrong picture? Appears to be a push tenon bulldog?

Wilke #191 in a Savinelli Punto Oro army mount Rhodesian. Wrong picture? Appears to be a push tenon bulldog? Well, it's closer to a Rhodesian, but not exactly either. Maybe a push tenon, but it different from the regular Savinelli tenon. It came from Spain and I haven't been able to find the exact shape in the charts. Good pipe though. The shank and extension are oval.

I like that longer stem and that's got a cool blast to it.
I'm joining Charlie in smoking some 2016 C&D Sansepolcro in an MM Let Freedom Ring 5th ave.
