Freehand Friday continues with Marlin Flake in this Malaga freehand. Nice. I didn’t know you have a Malaga. I have two. The other one is a small, saddle stemmed apple. Bought them on the secondary market (a consignment cabinet at another pipe shop) back in the late 80s. But, I used to buy pipe tobacco and cigars at the Malaga shop on a regular basis.

Started the day with Haunted Bookshop in the Saturday cob and coffee. Now smoking the same in the same. In between, I enjoyed some Three Friars and tried some Royal Yacht during a trip up to Pauls' Pipe Shop with BIL.

Bought them on the secondary market (a consignment cabinet at another pipe shop) back in the late 80s. But, I used to buy pipe tobacco and cigars at the Malaga shop on a regular basis. From the late 80s until they closed in the 90s, I’d stop at the Malaga shop whenever I had a chance. Back then, I lived in Lansing and they weren’t that far off the route to visit my in-laws in Sterling Heights. Back then, I had to think hard before spending $35 to 50 on a pipe, but I bought several new in the shop. Over time, I’ve built up a collection of 50 to 70 Malagas. (Haven’t counted them in a while.) Before Malaga got rediscovered as a result of rebornpipes restoring a bunch of them a few years ago, it was common to win them at auction for only $20 to 25.

What am I smoking? I am smoking my brains out. The last few weeks the highs have been in the 20s and 30s. We had a snow storm so about 6 inches today. Smoking outside in this weather is horrible. Well, the wife is in Florida visiting her parents. Right now, I am sitting in my recliner puffing away on my first taste of Warhorse green, which was recently purchased. Love it! I have candles lit and an air purifier going. Earlier, I had a bowl of Boswell’s Piper Pleasure for the first time ever and enjoyed it. Early this morning was Orlick Golden Sliced. I feel it is easier to beg for forgiveness, than beg for permission. Next week I may be homeless or dead, when the wife comes back. I’ll keep you all posted, maybe.

I feel for you guys that can't smoke in your own house. I'd go so far as to go buy my own separate house.

My parrot doesn't let me smoke in the house. I have an indoor spot for inclement weather and such, but I keep it to a minimum.
WCC WCS in a MM CG. I should have alphabet soup with that, but it's instant hot cocoa.

I should have alphabet soup with that, but it's instant hot cocoa. Maybe the parrot could experience some inclement weather? I have found them to be fast learners.

Was up late chatting and got to bed by 2am. By 3am, I started received high/critical alert pages for work about an issue so I was back up by around 3:30am, woken back up again at 4:30 & 5:30am by subsequent pages. Just getting to my first smoke very late this afternoon. Finishing a little heel of Pegasus in the Morganton Caroler and then some Druquer & Sons Inns of Court (thanks to urbino) in an MM Mark Twain.
