My parrot doesn't let me smoke in the house. I have an indoor spot for inclement weather and such, but I keep it to a minimum. WCC WCS in a MM CG. I should have alphabet soup with that, but it's instant hot cocoa. Maybe the parrot could experience some inclement weather? I have found them to be fast learners. She's smarter than a lot of people I know.

Westminster in the Savinelli 804. Just started watching 'All Quiet on the Western Front', and Ernest Borgnine is smoking a pipe 2 minute in!

He was disappointed that we didn’t ask for an autograph. We informed him we were off duty cops providing security and didn’t want to bother him. I never was the star struck type. He was a very nice, down to earth guy.

That stem on that stain is slick, Pete. Did you have troubles getting the forever stems to fit used cobs?

I had to do a little sanding to get the stem to fit into the shank. They still need a little tweaking. I wanted to give them a try. Won't do this with too many cobs, since the stems cost more than the pipes. Playing with another one, a Mark Twain, which is getting a fancy lucite stem from Vermont Freehand and a bamboo shank. Shellac's drying. Will get a photo in a bit

I worked on one other corncob pipe today. Replaced the stem of my Mark Twain with some bamboo and added a Vermont Freehand "fancy" stem. Smoking it now with C&D Wintertime Reserve "Snow Day", with apologies for the blend's name to the folks in the Northeast. Hang in there, folks.

Was up late chatting and got to bed by 2am. By 3am, I started received high/critical alert pages for work about an issue so I was back up by around 3:30am, woken back up again at 4:30 & 5:30am by subsequent pages. Just getting to my first smoke very late this afternoon. Finishing a little heel of Pegasus in the Morganton Caroler and then some Druquer & Sons Inns of Court (thanks to urbino) in an MM Mark Twain. Computer equipment can be so inconsiderate that way. Very happy to not have to deal with it anymore. The last few years weren't that bad as we had redundant everything, including duplicate data centers. But shite still happens.
