Had a sampling of Malbec and Carménère dry red wines tonight. Argentine, Chilean, or both? Too long ago to remember

Brought a bottle of Glenlivet with me to dinner.
The price has increased some from the early 1970s when I paid $12 per bottle. Now $53.
Well received.

Two years ago, every time I went to Albertson's I got a free dozen eggs for being a rewards member. For the last several weeks every time I go the dozen eggs are $5-$7 a dozen...wishing for the good old days of the Jimmy Carter years.

Founder's Backwoods Bastard. An ale aged in oak bourbon barrels. 11% alcohol by volume.
"Expect lovely, warm smells of single malt scotch, oaky bourbon barrels, smoke, sweet caramel and roasted malts, a bit of earthy spice and a scintilla of dark fruit. It's a kick-back sipper made to excite the palate."
And it is certainly a sipper. I'm smoking Gawith Hoggarth Black Twist to pair with it. By the finish of the bottle, one bottle feels just as if you've just had a smidge over 2 bottles of beer. Rightly so.

That sounds lovely. I wish we had a place that sold it around here.

A large measure of Paddy's and Bailys, half and half. I need it, too. The skin rash covering most of my body for over a month is on the warpath! I will be so happy to see a medical doctor next week. It has been a long wait.

Hot tea with ginger, homey, mil and a large measure of Paddys.
I am shivering with cold in a room at 68 degrees (F) while wearing two sweaters and shirt under bib overalls with a muffler wrapped around my neck and a wool cap on top..

Helles Schlenkerla lager. It's brewed in the same copper kettles and yeast as their smokebeer so it's lightly smoky.
