Russian beer tonight. Baltika Grade 9 Extra Lager. 8% abv. I've had all the Baltika's throughout the years and quite like their lagers, current political implications aside. I also just realized, it was the last bottle I can find and it was brewed before the war broke out. Probably can't get it or find it anywhere anymore. RIP, if so.

Salt water for rinsing the site of my missing toofus. That is important. You No wanna Dry Socket! Me? My two Root Canals smart some. Large, and I mean large, quantities of Paddy's along with Acetaminophen and Codeine, edible Cannabis and RSO paste. Believe it or not, I can endure several pains. However, tooth pain is not one of those. I am a real wimp. Thusly, I apply what little Chemistry I know.

Tried my hand at making a "Vesper" - from Ian Fleeming's first James Bond novel, "Casino Royale" - but didn't have a lemon for garnish.
An interesting flavor. Slightly bitter. Probably nothing like the original since one of the ingredients: Kina Lillet (a white wine), is no longer made. Everyone says use Lillet Blanc instead.
Probably won't make many of these - or I'll substitute dry vermouth for the Lillet Blanc. It only uses 1/2 oz of the Lillet Blanc per drink - and a couple days after opening it, or any wine, it will start tasting off.

Bell's Two Hearted Ale. Bell's is a regular staple around our parts on taps at any decent bars/restaurants. Brewery up in Comstock, MI.
Two Hearted Ale is a 7% ABV American IPA that's very bitter and citrus-fruity. Not fruity from any additive anything, but in a kick-your-arse, asphyxiate you with a hop overload of bitterness and fruity kind of way. You better like IPAs.

Nothing at the moment, but whilst away I picked up a couple new things:
Hillrock Estates rye, which is a 100% rye mash bill. It's an experience. I like it, but if you buy a bottle and don't, you're out several bucks.
Teeling Small Batch, which I would call a middle of the road Irish, to my tastes. Others might like it a great deal, I think, though.
King's Wheated Bourbon, sometimes called "the poor man's Pappy". It's a solid, inexpensive bourbon with some wheat in the mash.

Tried my 4th or 5th version of James Bond's "Vesper" (from "Casino Royale") 3 oz Tanqueray London Dry 1 oz Tito's vodka 1/2 oz Lillet Blanc Shaken. Lemon peel expressed over the mix, rubbed around the rim, then added to the drink. Best yet!

Having some Bernheim's Wheat Whiskey. This isn't a new one to me. I used to drink it, years ago, then it got hard to find. Picked up a bottle, recently, though.
