Quite a beauty, Duane...the rustication on that bad boy really took some time! Zulu-ish...what shape is that? It's an homage to a shape Bruce Weaver was going to make for me but his hands hurt him too badly just prior to retiring. Bruce called it a bent egg and Cramptholomew (Jason) did a deep red sandblasted take on the shape for me for my third Halloween pipe from him. Some would call it a Danish scoop or a tulip. With its huge 2 inch deep chamber, I call it perfect.👍 |

Should be here Fri...15 misc cigars, various sizes/brands variety pack from CI, only seller I know of that actually puts out a paper catalogue. Good move for old guy with plenty of time. Has near 100pages.

66 packs of assorted pipe cleaner styles and 2 cans of SPC Hogshead. I’m impressed that P&C actually bubble wrapped the tins and put sufficient packaging pillows in the box.

I've had 3 of the SPC blends and they've all been excellent. I'll have to investigate this new one. Edit: Whoops! It's a straight Virginia, I wouldn't be able to taste it. |

This blend is also a bit on the pricey side too. However, it’s a really good straight Red Virginia. So, if you like Red Va, it’s worth having a bit in the cellar as an occasional treat. The only SPC blends in my cellar are this and a bunch of Deception Pass which is a VaPerOri with a slight touch of Black Cav. It’s a bit of a unique blend. The only VaPerOri that I have in my cellar is McC Pebblecut. |

I always forget about Hogshead. Red Vas are my favorite and every blend I've had from SPC has been great.

My latest acquisition arrived from England yesterday. It is a vintage Kaywoodie London Made 72B Billiard. This line was made for Kaywoodie in the Comoy pipe factory. Through a Kaywoodie group that I am in on Facebook, I worked out a reasonable deal with another collector. The package took 12 days to get here.   |

Unfortunately, not much is known about Kaywoodie's London operation. Back in the day, Kaywoodie listed themselves as "New York & London". Bill (Kaywoodie's owner) doesn’t have any of the London office records. |

In the past couple days, I received a 3-piece mold for pressing cakes, some acrylic stems and 4 blocks of 40-year old briar. The mold is already filled with tobacco. Oh, and some Rougaroux is in the mail.

I think this will complete my cellar until spring, by then I will know what like or don't and I can make moves from there.
I also got rid of my old Dr G. pipes, so I might add 1 or 2 to my rotation.
I know what I want, just not sure I can afford it...lol

What did C&D do, press all their bulk HBS into cakes and tin it? I can't find bulk anywhere. I never open tins when I buy them  The hunt continues. I need to re-up my dwindling cigar supply too. Was hoping to get both in 1 place. Stay tuned.... |
