Ambient psychedelic funk from Texas. They're really good. Check out this set I've probably listened to 30x. I'd be hard-pressed to pick anything with better live sound.

Been listening to Le Zeppelin's greatest hits. Gotta get my daily fix of Led in. Next up with be some Yes or David Bowie. Gonna listen to the Pink Floyd Pulse tour from 1994. I saw that tour live and 137,000 people were going nuts. My buddy had a booth where all the booze was stocked and we had great seats to the side down with the crowd. I maybe had a couple of beers as I was tripping balls. We went by limo and partied there and back.

For sure. I've found Sibelius and Mahler go well with pipe in hand.

Ha ha, they've done the City Limits, but I think they're from Houston, actually. I don't know if Austin knows it's in Texas.
I'm a fan of the Austin Lounge Lizards, too.

I bought this album the week it released. A great album. The theme of the entire album is blending the mafia's Code of Silence with the US military invasion of Iraq and the situations of killing civilians under the premise of "just doing our jobs." In kind of a twisted parallel, lead singer Randy Blythe once killed a guy by throwing him off the stage during a concert and the guy broke his neck on the security fencing.

Zach the beginning of the title song says it all: "We killed a lot of innocent civilians. To us every civilian in Baghdad was a terrorist. They said 'they are now in civilian clothes,' that makes everybody free game. But if they came in our perimeter, we lit 'em up. And when we would pull the body out, and when we would search the car, we would find nothing. This took place time and time again. No harm, no foul. That's okay, don't worry about it...Because this is a new type of war, this is an eradication." I couldn't pick a favorite album by them to save my life. I have them all saved on my phone. They're one of the few bands where I can listen to every song and not be disappointed. I'm thinking about a trip to Vegas to see them, Megadeath, and Trivium in a few months.

Once we get moving on some team projects today, it'll probably be lots of live Carbon Leaf. We're both original members of the super-secret Crow Foot & Key Society, of course..
