I went to grammar school with a cousin or something of one of the drummers. There was like Carole King and Anne Murray in my house at the time, so I thought the Butterfly was pretty heavy and far out. The long version is fantastic if you're in the right frame of mind. Heh. Yup!

I have often wondered why this depressing tune has always been performed with so much cheeriness. Apparently these guys did too. With apologies to Jimmie Davis, former governor of Louisiana....

So I went to your daughter's YouTube channel and listened to a half dozen more. She is talented, and has a beautiful voice. Thanks for posting that. So how about hang around a bit more and tell us what you have been smoking in your cobs.....

That just reminded me he fell from a balcony and passed away last summer. RIP Trevor. Forever known for The Whitest Kids You Know.

Love me some Les Claypool. I probably would have seen Primus do Rush this year if they came closer. You got me listening to Motet, dammit. I think it was Motet and PPPP all day yesterday (except for my Dead of the Day dose). The jamfunk train keeps rolling:

They did a pretty straight bluegrass breakdown>Bowie's "Fame" and followed up with "Pig in a Pen." I was hooked! I'm seeing them in September with Yonder Mountain. From their new album:

Take that, Bill Monroe! Nice! TWIMC: I went to see if Spotify had Jorma Kaukonen's Too Hot to Handle because Hot Tuna had given me a hankerin'. Lo and behold: there's a pantload of Jorma shows on there! Currently it's May 29, 1993. A lot of them seem to be later dates, but I'm in.
