nap next, then ham slices, few slices Am cheese on buttered hoagie roll, heated. Plenty filling, too hot to bake anything.

This morning I drove the 35 miles west to the town of Antonito, CO. All dirt road across BLM mis-managed country and some roads not maintained well. Lowes Grocery Stores opened there I had to shop and check it out. Anyway, I was in the liquor department and, lo and behold, there on the shelf was a bottle of Croatian Plum Brandy. Yea, "Slivowitz". Now, that is not something I have seen in the USA in many decades. So, I forked out the $24 for this schnapps. Who would have thought in a backwoods town like Antonito, Slivowitz would be on the shelf?

I had to go to the feed store this morning and I bottomed the truck out twice on "City Streets". The only roads I've seen worse than the Linden city streets is the Black Gap road in Big Bend National Park, that hasn't been maintained in a hundred years. Sometimes you end up in a dry river bed because it looked more like a road than the actual road.

Went to the Rabbit Patch restaurant in Atlanta today because our favorite Italian restaurant is closed for remodeling. Had a Montechristo sandwich. I had been wanting one for a while, but I wish it was cooler weather so it would sit better.

Last night at the cousins house, we had smoked chicken, cous cous, salad, corn and white bean salsa and several mojitos. Always love spending time with them

That would be caloric overload! I think that the sandwich is over a thousand calories by itself. I was surprised to find the Montechristo on the menu in Atlanta Texas. It's almost impossible to find one even in Houston. The Rabbit Patch Cafe is a real find. Wife had a Mediterranean burger with tatzaki, feta and black olives and fried green beans.

Bienvenidos restaurant in Holbrook Arizona, headed home after many miles.
Split pea soup that is killer! Deep fried cod with tartar and malt vinegar. Red skinned mashed potatoes. Fresh veggie of the day.
I always like it when I can push it to getting to Holbrook on my 3 day run. Quick drive home, and this restaurant⊠they do not have a huge menu, but what they serve, they do well.
I came to the conclusion long ago that the restaurants with crazy large menus never excel in anything.
