While the menthol does blast at first, it's more of a vanilla Mint that lingers for me.

Headed to the doctor, I think the crutches get retired today.

ON! Citrus. Headed to the doctor, I think the crutches get retired today. Good news! ๐๐ Thanks! I havenโt been leaving the house much, because walking on crutches, sucks. Compounding that, I have arthritis in both wrists. A lot of PT ahead of me!

Good newsโฆ 4 weeks more off 100% pay, no prescribed PT. The doctor said that he could tell that I was the type of guy that would do what I need to do, incrementally getting back to where I need to be.
So I donโt have to go to the salt mine until after the Las Vegas Pipe show. Walking the floor will help me ease back into the work force.

So I donโt have to go to the salt mine until after the Las Vegas Pipe show. Walking the floor will help me ease back into the work force. Update... While eating breakfast, my new on site boss called. He asked probing questions about where I was at physically. I am on light duty no bending, crouching, or climbing. I let him know that I am weaning myself off the crutches. "Well you know, light duty was not an option in the past, but with me and my assistant on site it is different, maybe in a couple of weeks you will be fit enough to scan documents and call patients. I will probably go along with the plan and ease my way out of retirement, they have been pretty cool through the ordeal, and If I don't mind the work, maybe it will turn into an indoor job. I am sure that I am more valuable behind the wheel though. In any case, my Pipe Show plans will not be affected. ON! coffee, while I ponder what to smoke.

I had light duty for a minor shoulder injury. It was lighter duty, but still involved using that shoulder. I just wanted my job back and had to wait another week for a return-to-work note from the doc.
I'm pinching from the buffet this morning. All snuffs are better in October air.

Maybe I'll stop through on my upcoming trip.
We have plans to go to Sedona in November. It should be nice there too.

I set out some SG BBF to dry and meanwhile I'm comparing HDT and IHT22. HDT is king here, but the WoS is very nice. They don't make IHT20 any more? It was a toast with bergamot and I don't see it at the usual outlets.

I've never heard of IHT20, but I wish I did. Toast and Bergamot? I'm in! I agree HDT is the king of the toasts, but I have a dozen or so tins of both

If Toques Natural Toast was better I'd have them mix some bergamot with it. But I find theirs lacking.
Secret recipe you say? Everyone has a price!

Hmm...maybe I'm in the wrong timeline again. I could swear there was a no. 20.
Edit: see below. I wish they still made it, but it would probably be easy enough to recreate, as I think the base flour was the same.

Whew! I thought those boozy decades had rotted my brain. Not in this case, anyway. From 2009: "Wilson's of Sharrow make two different kinds of Dry High Toast - No's 20 & 22. DHT #22 is a straightforward plain toasted snuff, fine, pale and nutty/buttery tasting, whereas #20 is a toasted SP, which is why you get the bergamot aroma." snuffhouse.com/discussion/2890/dry-high-toast-no-20

Red Bull and not the energy drink. Itโs a pretty massive menthol hit. But I like it.

I'm waiting at a tire shop, but Spanish Gem should see me through. Also Zyn Chill 6 and ON Citrus 4 in my bag as backup.
Spanish Gem doesn't quite mitigate the smell of tires. I had a bad experience with a load of tires at work once. It was after a night of Monte Alban. That tire smell with mezcal nausea was less than a delightful experience. "A nightmare of mezcal was all that it was..."

More Silky Dark earlier. Just finished a bag of Rosinski Frankenfurter. I ripped the thing apart to get at the corners, so I'd rate it highly. Probably some American scotch next.
