I recently decided to pick up a few tins and give snuff a try. First up was some Fribourg and Treyer Old Paris, followed by Gawith and Hoggarth S.P. Aroma for both is quite nice. Old Paris has a very short duration, but quite enjoyable. S.P. seems to have a little more spice, and lingers a touch longer. RSD Mwahaha! Welcome to the club. Old Paris is a favorite of mine. If you like the GH SP, there's a world of good stuff awaiting you. Check out Wilson's of Sharrow. They don't make as many as they once did, but they make great ones. Gold Label, Best SP, and SP 100 are still available--I think--and very good. JH Wilson's is good. Toque makes a few good ones...you get the idea. F&T HDT is hitting the spot at the moment. Klostermischung is calling my name soon.

Thanks,
I picked up some other tins to sample with the order as well. Figured that if I don't like them, someone else probably would. Decided to start with those two, as I don't want to open up too many at once.

Great selection! There's a couple of my top five. I'm out of Grand Cairo, though. On my list. Keep an eye on shipping deals. Snuff's cheap, getting it to New Hamster isn’t.
Otto Schmalzler this morning. This just has an off flavor to me. I never met a Schmalzler I didn't like, but this isn’t a reorder for me. I miss the Sterneckers.

No more looking at my package in Customs for a month in New York!

I believe so, it just has to be over 29.99. I'm not 100% sure though. You can go with priority shipping and get it even faster. I'll test it out in a couple of weeks.

Zyn Citrus at the Waterpark. Snuff and water slides dont mix I don't know ... packing the nose full of some Schmalzler just before walking in might be fun. Probably shorter lines too. 😄😄😄

Chef Daniel's Pure Virginia Toast 2015, stored in amber glass in the fridge. Still good. There's some Arabesque and Abraxas St Casura SP in there for special, too. Once it's gone, it's gone for good. Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile.

Samuel Gawith gin and tonic. I should have bought the bigger tin. Oh well back on the snuff train after taking a break from it a while ago.

McChrystal Wee Dram from a sampler. I figured it would be boozy, but it seems to be SP-adjacent, citrusy. It's good if you like McChrystal. Probably not a re-upper for me--there are too many good ones in that style.
I am also trying WoS Beltane. I like it.

Same ol', same ol' SD.
Thoughts on Rosinski's anyone? I have a cart full of all of their non-menthol ones, I just haven't pushed the button yet.

I've had no Rosinskis. I'm curious about them, though. Let us know if you pull that trigger.
Has anyone had Snuv Black Eye? I've had it for a while, but being a uwu smol bean, I couldn't twist it open until last night. I hope it's a bad batch, because it is the nastiest: notes of citrus mold, bar rag, and neglected kitchen sponge. I've blown out snuff I didn't like before, but I needed to squirt a couple 5ml saline flushes up there, plus a few menthols to make it stop. It wasn't rustica nether-sweat/herbivore poo, but something entirely unholy. No mold visible with a 60x loupe. It still haunts me. -5/5. Going once, twice, going in the bin.
Wos Irish High Toast 22 alternating with F&T Princes, currently.

The trigger will be pulled soon. I have to go through my stock tonight and see what I need to re-up on first. I figure they're only 10g's so if I don't like them it won't be a huge waste. But let's be honest, there's not many snuffs that i dont like. I can only think of 1 actually, but yours seems pretty foul too.
Toque is a few bucks cheaper per "bag" than mrsnuff too.

I haven't looked at the Rosinski lately, but there's at least one green one that I'll have to try eventually.
Watching Sox v Rays with McChrystal Aztec; SG Firedance for her. The Aztec is nice, but another one I won't re-up. Dark chocolate and something nutty is going on there for me.

I don’t understand snuff. Can someone briefly explain it to me? What’s it about and what does one get out of it? All I can think about is sneezing. Enlighten me?

I don’t understand snuff. Can someone briefly explain it to me? What’s it about and what does one get out of it? All I can think about is sneezing. Enlighten me? Not to be flippant, but the aroma and, for some people, nicotine. At first, there's a sensation somewhere between a tingle and a burn, depending on the snuff. That resolves more or less quickly to the scents of tobacco plus whatever casings have been applied to it. Those scents can evolve over the course of time. The scents also may vary when going out- or inside. Meanwhile, nicotine is absorbed in the nose, just as it is with pipe smoke in the mouth, though more rapidly. There are myriad flavors, styles, and grinds--coarse to fine, with coarser tending to be somewhat moister and easier to use. It really is quite pleasurable to use and there is so much variety that it's an interesting endeavor to sample lots of them. --OR-- Ja, it's rilly fun!

At your service. I guess fundamentally for the same reasons people smoke pipes?
And I should mention that I've heard that sneezing only happens a few times when first trying it, but I've never sneezed that I recall. And sometimes a good sneeze is in order, anyway.
Gesundheit!

RE: Rosinski snuff ... I found much of their line to be too "sweet". The green one was interesting though.
Today ... Sternecker Straubinger with coffee, Zyn pouches all day. I may be a convert to the ON pouches soon though. Less cost, more kick!

Enjoyed some F&T 'High Dry T' this morning after a cup of Twinings Irish Breakast tea.
Next up - 50/50 Olde English/Summer Harvest, for a menthol/raspberry nose-clearing.

The Bernard's that I've had seem almost identical to me. That's why I was looking for some input. I'll still grab a few (definitely the green) and try em out. Snuffing now? Blown in insulation in an attic while I replace fart fans. It's only about 170 degrees up here....

The thing is, no one even lives there. My boss waited until after lunch to tell me it needed to be done. Had I known the night before, I would have went in at 4 or 5 am and did it.
Rustica in the schnozz this morning.
