Some Captain Rev. In a Walt MM CG before making a final resting spot for the wife's dog. She went to feed him this moring and he was not with the living anymore. Now having some GH Balkan mixture in sandblasted B42 Pete. Sorry to hear that. Give your wife my condolences. Our dog will be 6 in 3 days. We don't want to lose another dog at our age.

Despite having the day off, I did not manage to have a pipe. Wind was blowing the rain just the right direction to leave no dry spot on my small patio.

Just finishing C&D Folklore in this St. Regis pot. Old photo, have to take a better one at some point. The smoke is a bit sweeter in the pot but otherwise tastes just as it does in all the other smokes.

Hit a high of 59 here today but was 56-58 much of the afternoon. Went out for a 3.25 mile walk, picked up a few books, and did light grocery shopping.
Now smoking 2015 Newminster No. 306 English Orient in a no name made in London bent billiard.

Son and his GF were over for dinner tonight. We grilled steaks, had a couple beers and shared some C&D Small Batches. Folklore (mine) and Sansepolcro (his). We both liked each other's tobaccos. Now, having some Haunted Bookshop. All of these in the Monday cob.

I like it. It's a bit muddy and dark and I'm ready to see what it does with some years of age. I'm nearly through my first 2 oz. cake of it and still familiarizing with it. I'm tending to think of it as a fall holiday blend. It's dark, spooky like. It tastes of mulled wine, spices, fruity and with the "Folklore" angle and imagery I've been thinking of it as a Halloween/Christmas blend for some reason.

2016 Haunted Bookshop (thanks to Zach) in the Monday cob. Leaving my oldest jars alone, so they can age a couple more years.

DFU, too! Kidding. DF is a bit much for a morning smoke for me. It's CD HB in a MM Mizzou. Green tea and a rainy day to go with it.

Haha.
Well I'm kicking a cig habit again so the huge amount of nic in the morning helps. Plus it's delicious with coffee.

Just in from full 2-miles power walks, no-band 5x50 for company. After the Ed is fed, Apertif in RadiciRind full bent poker/sitter & continue with the papers. Unknown what goes on later, mostly involves wifie needs.
33, 100% rain ahead, high 58. More snow melt, flooding in low lying areas across our main street from Tonawanda Creek.

Been there. Good luck! Piles of snuff helps, too. There's ALWAYS snuff. That's part of the problem. My blood is about 90% nicotine. It hasn't been too bad this time around. I'm somewhere between week 2 and 3. I'm not worried about breaking the nicotine habit, just the disgusting and costly cigs.

Once the butts are gone, the nicotine doesn't seem to have quite the same hold, though. Keep up the good work. Your lungs are already thanking you.

Started the day with Haunted Bookshop in the Tuesday cob and coffee. Expecting temps in mid-50s and rain today. More snow later in the week.

Finishing a heel of the 2015 Newminster English Orient from last night and reading. Loading up some Watch City Stubb's Pipe in an MM Mark Twain. Pouring rain and flooding all day here, a stark contrast to yesterday.
