I have been a member of other pipe forums, but I do believe this is a place I can call home. This forum is so laid back without all the drama and henpecking in other forums, it also includes several members from other forums that I've known for many years, most of the time I don't comment very much, and just read everyone's post's and enjoy the experiences that everyone shares here. Thank You to Everyone for making this place an enjoyable place to be, and thanks to Sparks for making this all happen.

Definitely agree with this being my favorite remaining forum. Of course John you know our other forum (PSU) which is the only other pipe forum I frequent. It's been heavy and sad to me to lose contact with so many folks over the years and especially the ones which you just have no idea what's happened to them or why they vanished. The camaraderie is great in this otherwise solitary sport.

This forum was formed as a result of getting away from said drama, and the ashes resulting from such nonsense, and has informed Justin on how not to run a forum. Not to say that there hasn't been a few tempest in a teapot situations along the way where people decided to stomp out of the room. None of that nonsense ever dominated discussion here when it took place, people can leave whenever they want...when some do decide to take that route, (tempest types) quite frankly I think it has a cleansing effect.
Justin has made excellent choices with the moderators that he has asked to take part in, and the members here do a good job of policing themselves.

Vegas is a pretty inexpensive destination from most locales, cheap rooms, smoker friendly, and plenty to do.
We should have a briarptch meetup for those so inclined.
