What a great day! First, SOCUS struck down the infamous Sullivan Act in NY. Then, a visit to the Cancer Center for a maintenance check on my prostate cancer. Doc says results are excellent and right in line to indicate that radiation was a complete success. What a relief. Thanks, all, for all the kind Good Wishes.

Just got back from the tattoo parlor for a consolation we’re working out my next piece of work a Japanese Oni girl smoking a kiseru. I’m looking forward to seeing what he comes up with. Been getting work done at this shop for a long time they do go work. I like how the shop is covered in artwork by the staff and such instead of a bunch of tattoo flash where your like head is like that one that everyone and their brother has.(not that theirs anything wrong with that and I have a sailor jerry flash piece of a dragon on my arm) I just like the environment of this shop.

Also good news on Sullivan. Maybe the Constitution still matters for a couple more years.

CA will find other ways to limit and regulate guns.

Glad to see the Sullivan act stricken, a pretty vile and corrupt piece of garbage, sad that it took over a hundred years to flush the toilet on this stinky turd.

That sounds cool. I have been going to a great local artist for some time now. At my last session, he informed me that he is retiring from full time tattooing later this summer, and that his apprentice will be taking over at his shop. Luckily, he is still going to continue working with me and a few other long term clients.

Currently 0530hrs and temperature rising quickly. Humidity already at 84%. I know it pales in comparison to some of you but something we folks in the PNW aren’t used to.

Good luck. Y’day I was suspicious when the 7am temp was 60°. Rose quickly and ended up at 107° by mid afternoon. Clear evidence of Gerbil Worming.

Spent a good part of yesterday in and out of irrigation ditches and canals. Setting gate boards means being in the water and wrestling with them under water pressure. Not uncomfortable in warm weather. Hard to get out of the danged ditches at age 71. Seems I need to carry a short ladder with me. Feeling it today!

Wife went to our Shrimp lady, bought 32 lbs, nice , mixed, for 4$ a lb. Tosh as a young man I was the grabber for the sacks of rice placed in the coulee to Germanite, dry they weighed nothing, wet close to 150 lbs, I went in coulee and hoisted them to 2 men on the levee. Then they were placed in plane to seed the field.

For me, at that age, it was sacks of Portland cement. 32 pounds of Gulf Shrimp sounds about as close to Heaven as one can get while treading this Earth.

Two summers during high school I worked on a shrimp boat off the Alabama coast (a day shrimper so we left the dock in the mornings before daylight and were back by 2 or 3). In those days it was legal to sell shrimp off the boat. I remember selling tons of shrimp for 35 cents a pound. Sometimes I would be paid in shrimp and my mother and grandmother would head the things and freeze them (covered in water). So we were able to eat shrimp year round. The good old days.....

I just saw the ambulance take my neighbor away, he was upright and on oxygen.
Craig is a great guy, obesity and all that goes with it over several years catches up to you though. We will pray for the guy.

Hotter than Hades again today. Every summer in Texas seems like the end of the world. Texas IS the end of the world. One more step and over one goes into the abyss... LOL! Seriously. East Texas is a hot place. Pretty and pleasant if one can handle the heat and humidity. I can for a week or so.

But the other 9 months are mostly glorious.

There’s no such thing as “Texas,” as a single entity. What are you referring to? Houston or Amarillo? El Paso or Longview?

Nice steady rain since before Dawn. Not hard, gentle and persistent so it soaks into the ground and not running off. May this continue.
