Thankfully my sister is in a position to stay a little longer than planned. Mom is not ready to be alone again. My older brother is there in town, but he is busy with his 9 year old and family stuff.

So far it's looking to be a good start for me being I'm completely booked up for next week. On the downside it's the same way 2020 started out so I hope it's not a foreshadowing of what's to come (fingers crossed). |

Sorry to hear about your mom, lost mine at 17, still get misty eyed thinking about her.. Bummer. It was bad enough to lose my Mom to pancreatic cancer when I was 28 and she was only 58. I am sorry for your loss. That is way too young to go. |

Call me bad luck Schleprock, but I see a nation in decline and I doubt the new year will bring any positive hope for the future. I think the expiration date is past...but it is what it is.
Still going to hang out with friends and smoke my pipe as often as I can, but the Pollyanna glasses are on the side of the road.

Call me bad luck Schleprock, but I see a nation in decline and I doubt the new year will bring any positive hope for the future. I think the expiration date is past...but it is what it is. Still going to hang out with friends and smoke my pipe as often as I can, but the Pollyanna glasses are on the side of the road. In my era we would call you "Mr. Buzz Kill". Just as soon as a better location has been identified.... I heard from a friend that Mongolia is cool. She participated in a horse jumping and archery competition there. I am not joking. Nixon and Kissinger blew it when they had a chance with limiting China. Reagan, Thatcher and the pope had the right idea... Those that came afterward pretty much squandered what they were given. But I have the benefit of hindsight...but then again, I am far below the pay grade of those that are suppose to lead. Cool pic, John, I bet that it is an honor to count her as a friend. |
