There's a pulsar moving in our general direction that weighs 13,170,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 pounds, moving at 1.3 million mph. Anyone have a ballistic calculator that can figure out the kinetic energy? Got it. Like a .45 Auto, if it hits only your hand it will knock you down. Stay inside! I think that if it hit my hand, it would blow my lungs out like a 9mm.

Texas IS the end of the world. One more step and over one goes into the abyss... LOL! Seriously. East Texas is a hot place. Pretty and pleasant if one can handle the heat and humidity. I can for a week or so. BUMP! (Looking for a reaction here, guys) đ

Done with the working part of work. Now watching some training videos I'm supposed to have completed by the end of the month.

Today is like most other days, although we've football camp at our church this week, so evenings are different for sure. Football (soccer) is not my bag, baby...but it's good to be present. I might bring the camera and take photos for a wee recap video on Sunday. It's been raining all day though, so I hope it stops by the time the football camp starts.
It's promising to be a clear-skied sunset, so I might venture out with the camera afterwards. That said, I've no idea where to go.
I got a nice photo of the Giant's Causeway last week so I might get that one printed for the wall.
Have a great day!

As for Texas skiing, the geography seems a bit⊠suspect.

Love the color contrast (blue sea and orange in the sky and land). And I see you have learned Ansel Adam's trick for taking a good landscape photo. He said it is simply a matter of knowing where to put your feet.

Most of the time I think AA âput his feetâ on the wooden platform he built atop his lumbering great IH Travelall.

Another really great day here in NE Texas. Not too hot and low humidity. I put a sack of lime on the new grass and then came in the house and ordered a pull behind drop spreader from Tractor Supply. I have to put out about 400 pounds of various stuff on the yard for the next few years to get it in shape and the push spreader is killing me on the hills.

Very few of them were taken at eye-level.

Since we arrived at our summer home in Gaspésie, Québec, all I did is mowing the lawn and reopening the trail to the beach. I couldn't believe it when I saw the length of the grass: it was almost 3 feet high! I was there barely a month ago! So, I'm all broken up now - but the lawn is done - and it's time for a more than well deserved Beck's non - alcoholic beer (or 2) with some Mumbo Jumbo mixture in my Cumberland 4108. On the 13th, we are taking off for Montréal for a 4 night stay, after which we'll proceed to ville de Québec for another 4 nights and, then, we'll be on our way back to good ol' Newfoundland.

I've been up here in New Hampshire for 20 years now, and have yet to venture up north to that part of Canada despite being only about 4 hours from Montreal. I still have a Quebec and Maritimes motorcycle trip on my bucket list.

We've been to New Hampshire in 2019. It was an improvised trip less than a week from the 4th of July. We loved it. We were lucky to find a pet-friendly cabin in Conway, right by a brook. The owners were great, we chatted with them every day. We went to the summit of Mount Washington (of course) and did some hiking I don't even remember in which state or national park...I think it was the White Mountain park, we had to drive a while to make it. I went to Happy Jack's, in Laconia, to get some tobacco and cigars. We love your state's motto. Friendly advice. You better do that trip soon, RSD, before our Prime minister goes full dictator. Wait....he's already there.

That said, it's been a good way to get my head showered. Every minute the light changes, the color shifts, etc. AA made his career in just a few locations and people paint the same pictures of Caddo Lake over and over, yet they are all different. And, yes. That's a fantastic photograph!
