A lovely image, LL. I once sat on a cliff overlooking Blasket Sound and the islands. It was getting on toward dusk and I was facing due west. My 4x5 was set up on the composition I wanted, focus set, slide out and shutter cocked, and I was waiting for the light. There! Just right! Click. Pushed the slide in, turned the holder, cocked the shutter, withdrew the slide and… there! Even better! Click. This went on until I was almost out of holders— and light. It was hard to stop but I had to.

It rained a bit this morning, cooling the air to 64 degrees. The clouds are moving on,and the sun is shining now. Listening to the birds and a woodpecker working on a tree. Very peaceful, taking it all in on the front porch. Coffee and tobacco tastes great today.

Show one of your close up low shots. This is one of my more recent ones at the stones... I've travelled every inch of the coast now, it's hard to find new things to photograph. That said, it's been a good way to get my head showered. Fascinating image. What a place to visit! I love those stones.

The day I visited was clear and bright. The Scottish coast was visible.

Cheers guys.
You can often see Scotland from thy giant's causeway. Hard to believe how close we are to it.

Scanner or digital camera copy? Just for an idea. Or not. Not trying to hassle you.

Scanner or digital camera copy? Just for an idea. Or not. Not trying to hassle you. No worries. 4x5 negs and transparencies. I have a good scanner but it’s “put away” right now. Someday maybe. Kinda low priority for me right now. And the frames didn’t turn out as good as I had hoped anyway. Win some, lose some.

This is one of my more recent ones at the stones... I've travelled every inch of the coast now, it's hard to find new things to photograph. That said, it's been a good way to get my head showered. Every minute the light changes, the color shifts, etc. AA made his career in just a few locations and people paint the same pictures of Caddo Lake over and over, yet they are all different. And, yes. That's a fantastic photograph! Even though photography is not my bag, I saw the same thing transpire at the Grand Canyon. Just a few moments later, it takes on a whole different shading, and quite a different view. The same could be said traveling through monument valley, the real trick is having a shutterbug on hand to capture it all. Alas… I am lacking in that regard, Andre excells!

Tough run in Vegas this week, sure feels good to be home.
Flying from PHX to KCMO for a family reunion this weekend $1,600.00 for two of us in airfare.
And that is flying coach… this “new normal” sucks the arse of a donkey.

I wonder how Kevin is getting on with his new photography hobby.

If your family held their reunion in White Fish, MT, it would be a lot cheaper... Just saying.

My curiosity was piqued so I looked up the town. It actually looks like a nice place. And there seems to be lots of hiking opportunities, plus skiing during the winter.

Sitting at the desk currently , slowly starting the job hours. I have mentioned before the sunflowers outside my window are grown for 2 purpose. 1. My grandfather loved them. 2. little yellow birds I only see while they are in bloom. Starting another pipe, between the initial light, tamp and follow up a familiar song hit my ear. The yellow birds signing their thanks outside the window. I know bird watching gets some attention, but today I am just fine with bird listening.

Goldfinches. Little opportunists— they always show up at my place when there is something they are particularly fond of, like fresh dandelions, or cedar berries. I love to see them.

Since no one posts here anymore, I assume the Earth stopped rotating upon its axis. Time transfixed. Omega Man only remains.
Happy Fourth of July Weekend!

Boys sent to war by the Old Guard. Obscene. The ones that give the orders are not the ones that die.
Barbarisms by Barbaras with pointed heels Victorious Victoria’s kneel for brand new spanking deals Marching forward, hypocritic and hypnotic computers You depend on our protection, yet you feed us lies from the table cloth
Why don't presidents fight the war? Why do they always send the poor?

Happy 4th of July!!!!! Today, I will be able to resume my morning jogs. Can't wait. Then, there is this big tree to cracked and fell on our yard. Thankfully, it was far from the house. I brought my chainsaw and will cut it down, later on this morning.
