My uncle, Howard, fire bombed Tokyo. He never got over it. Dropping Napalm on all those civilians. War IS hell. We send hard men to fight for us then criticize them for decades later. It appears my point has not been taken. I am not criticizing anyone. My uncle, on of the men described above, suffered the rest of his life for what he took part in on the day. that was my point. War against the civilian population of a nation's enemies has been with us since the days recorded in the Old Testament. Because we have always done it does not make it right or just. From what I have read here it appears we all agree but that circumstances sometimes require actions we may abhor and later regret. that is my take and I leave it here. If someone else wants to add a final comment.

On to less serious stuff, we're heading out to lunch at an "Irish" pub and visit a nice little B&M across the street.

A dark and cool morning with dense cloud cover. Unexpected after the brilliant sunshine of the past several days. we could get more rain. BTW, guys from Trout Unlimited and Rio Grande Restore have begun placing culverts in the beaver dams on our creek. Let us hope that enables equitable coexistence.
If I can manage, I will post a Google Earth photo of the affected area. For me, this is an interesting problem.

Been there since 1792. I was there in 1972. James Joyce used to live above it. I had native Trout, boiled potatoes, cabbage prepared nicely and a pint of that very dark malty stuff they make in Dublin- "Guillemot", Guillotine, Guinea rooster". Something like that. Maybe you read or heard about it? Enjoy your lunch and make it a long one.

A couple Irish pubs in SF used to always have a pint for me when I delivered their groceries back in the day. It sure went down good whether it was hot or blustery…. Which could happen at the drop of a derby.

Goldberg's or Goldstein's. or something like that. Always had Anchor Steam on tap.

Which could happen at the drop of a derby. The only Pubs in San Francisco I recall well, as I was a sober youth, were Scottish; " The Edinburgh Castle". A fine source of McEwan's Ales. Then there was " The Rose and Thistle", also grand. Out in the western neighborhoods, the old Irish barrio, there were as I recall. " The Plough and the Stars", and, of course, " The Little Shamrock". Great town for Pubs, Bars and Drinking, generally. One could go to a different place just about every evening of the year!

You galoots are making me thirsty! But not a pub in sight. There are several in the town of O’Brien (big surprise!)— where Eli is from— but that’s a long way away.

I always enjoyed taking out of towners to John’s grill (Sam Spade fame) or Tadich grill, neither Irish.
But for food and drinks, preferred north beach at the Italian restaurants.
Back in the day, I could probably name that Irish pub near the wharf, but that was many moons ago.

California Street. Mostly, I ate lunch at Schroder's Hof Brau.

Lunch was good. Actually had an Irish breakfast with eggs, potatoes, ham, banger, black and white pudding, beans and toast. And a couple pints of Guinness.

Bay and Mason in North Beach, I know the area well. Right down the street on Francisco is the best sandwich shop that I have ever eaten at. Freddie’s Sandwiches has been there since the 1920’s I believe… they work magic, and the sourdough is the best ever. socketsite.com/archives/2013/08/razing_ginsbergs_to_build_a_nonbeat_hotel.htmlI never stopped at Ginsburgs, looks like a great dive bar.

Interesting development.
While the presence of these amyloids are reported by Morticians, there should be post autopsy Pathologist's reports confirming these discoveries. Have there been any? In the article one MD, not a Pathologist, has commented. There is some evidence that investigation is called for and I hope someone credible does.
In the meantime, let us increase our consumption of electrolytes to rid as much of the material elements as possible. From the analysis provided, largely salt, carbon, phosphorous and tin being the major elements in proportion to blood.
the Anti-Vaxer movement believed there would be odd effects. They could be right but before we get carried away by this more research and analysis, please.
Thank you for posting this very interesting article. Worth close following.

I agree, the jury is definitely out on this one.
Hopefully, this will get the attention that it deserves.

I agree, the jury is definitely out on this one. Hopefully, this will get the attention that it deserves. Article needs to be read carefully. This is an example of les-than-truthful reporting bordering on propaganda. The author introduces and mixes multiple sources of opinions; Morticians, Embalmers and Medical Doctors. It is somewhat difficult to keep the opinions sorted by the level of scientific training. Also there is little perspective offered. Clotting, post mortem, is common. Dat is what blood does. A Pathologist can give an expert opinion on what and what not is typical in a corpse. The morticians seem to feel they are finding large and well distributed clots. Amyloids, from the article, are described as "waxy and lardaceous deposits" in Blackiston's Medical Dictionary. "Primary Amyloidosis", the presence of same, has been known to occur for a very long time. It was considered a "rare disease without known cause". Possible dietary given the modern diet. What we have here are funeral directors discovering unusual post mortem conditions. They are a credible and noteworthy source of discovery. That should raise concerns among the medical establishment. For me, I know of two older people who have had blood vessels removed from their legs owing to clotting. I, have similar blood flow issues in my legs. We were all vaccinated with Moderna. Yes, it will be interesting to see if this is pursued or swept into obscurity.

I think that I'll just put my next booster on hold for a while to see if we can get more information on this. It would help if there were medical reports from Pathologists made available for review by drug researchers or others who know what the results indicate.

I just hope that it isn't found out that the unvaccinated that are more at risk! Nothing personal.... The timeline is what seems to make it somehow covid related.
My prediction...if and when anything is done, and it is found out that the unvaccinated are more at risk, it will be heralded from the rooftops. If the opposite is true, massive coverup and/or blameshifting on a scale never before imagined...doesn't matter to big pharma, they are immune from responsibility.
