Butera's Royal Vintage Dark Stoved in a Yiannos Kokkinos sandblasted sitter. I previously referred to this as a reverse calabash. It is not. Just has the shape of one.

I'm calling it quits for the day. I'm currently relaxing with St Bernard Flake in my Cumberland 4111 (2014). Becks 0 on the side (fricking well deserved).

Spent the afternoon replacing rotting deck boards. Just as the pain of the price of the lumber was subsiding, my knees reminded me they are old. So now both my knees and my wallet are in pain. Smoking Fribourg & Treyer Special Brown Flake in an Alberto Bonfiglioli and sipping iced tea....

While out and about this afternoon, had Three Friars in the Saturday cob. Enjoyed a cigar sitting in the sun. Took a nap. Prepped burgers for dinner. While grilling, I'll be enjoying some Haunted Bookshop in the Saturday cob.

It's been a back breaking day of digging new garden bed rows, busting up good soil from the sod, and removing various walking stones and brick in the way. Picked up eight bags of cow manure/peat compost and six sacks of garden soil for some of the new rows for amendment. Will need more of those but can only fit some many in the trunk in one go. Smoked a Bandidos cheroot today and chewed Gawith Happy Brown Bogie slices. Just now getting to a pipe.
Going for a big bowl of Habana Daydream in the MacArthur polished bent cob.

My front stoop is rotting also; I got a price for a brick and concrete replacement, and it came in at about twice what wood will be...at my age I'll be paying for the next guys stoop, but I'll get to enjoy it a few years...still rolling the idea around.

Just finished a 2nd bowl ever of Early morning pipe in a Savinelli Porto Cervo 122 bent pot. A few days ago I received 5 tins of EMP and 5 more tins of Black house. The EMP was pretty blah for me, so far. I’ll take Father Dempsey, Presbyterian and Black House anytime over EMP. I have a tin of 965 in a mason jar. Not thrilled with it either. Maybe I just don’t care for Peterson labeled tobaccos.

Decided to continue my adventures into trying so called "OTC" blends that I haven't smoked since the '80s (or their match versions for those no longer made) Right now it's Field and Stream Match. I don't have a specific enough recollection of the original to draw a comparison but it has a somewhat familiar flavor from the past. It's actually a pretty good codger type blend. Smoking it in a MM Diplomat apple.

However, I’ve found that I don’t like young MM965 and find that, for my taste, it needs at least 18 months of age.

Started the day with Haunted Bookshop in the Thursday cob and coffee. Nothing on the agenda until this evening. Might spend time in the workshop. Might do a little work outside. My new friend... My pipe and Haunted Bookshop came today. Of course a new pipe but not so much with cob(no matter WHAT you hear) takes a touch of love before the nature of what fills it gives us its secrets. That being said, this reminds me of Cellar my first time with a touch less pepper and lighter but not in a negative way if that makes sense. I'll keep u informed what a broken in briar says AND, after a pinch dries out just a TOUCH we can all admit almost ALL tins need on popping the cork. But.... with all of this whining..... I see deifnitively why I hear about Haunted Bookshop and dang glad I did!!! (MM thank u for my new poker too, smokes like a dream BRAND NEW and was like catnip to Mrs. Misfit in my teeth. Thank u all!!
